Product Description:
Sound Forge 4.5 brings more firepower to your digital audio arsenal. Sound Forge 4.5 contains all the familiar features of 4.0: Nonlinear hard disk editing. Tons of audio effects, processes, and tools. Read and write support for just about any file format. Processing of audio files headed for the Internet. Production of studio-quality audio for broadcast. File compression to 8-bit for distribution and delivery. Playlists and regions lists for CD mastering. Support for DirectX audio plug-ins such as Sonic Foundry Noise Reduction 2.0, Acoustic Mirror, and XFX Plug-In Packs as well as proprietary products. New to 4.5 is support for Microsoft Windows Media Technologies 4.0, RealNetworks RealSystem G2, and Sonic Foundry's Acid family of products, including a new loop-editing toolbar. New to the package is Batch Converter, an integrated plug-in allowing you to save time and alleviate the monotony of converting and processing numerous audio files. Thousands of files can be processed in a single batch. Any process, effect, or tool in Sound Forge 4.5 or any DirectX Audio Plug-In can be batch processed. Also new is Spectrum Analysis, a plug-in that allows you to navigate easily through data and audio frequency. Spectrum Analysis performs precise FFT (fast Fourier transform) analysis and displays the resulting data in two graphical formats. The spectrum graph allows real-time monitoring of playback or input, while the sonogram displays a playback cursor for real-time previewing.
Customer Reviews:
This is one nice piece of software!, 2000-11-01 It's easy to install and just as easy to use. Don't be initimidated by the price, particularly if you are serious about audio restoration. Ever wonder how those oldies in monotone would sound in digital stereo? Now you can judge first hand, and don't worry if its not as you expected, the unlimited undo's will allow you to easily go back to a previous configuration. For those most serious about breathing life into that old vinyl collection, buy up to Sonic Foundry's Noise Reduction 2 (four add-ins) that works nicely with the Sound Forge product.
