    John Mayer LIVE, 2008-10-09
Grammy winner John Mayer delivers a good live set that includes "Daughters", "Who Did You Think I Was", "Stop The Train" and "Free Falling". John Mayer has become involved in the 2008 Presidential Race - Interestingly, in the 2008 Presidential Primary race, New York Senator Hillary Clinton earned more Votes than any other Presidential Primary candidate in American history (hillaryclintonforum, the denver group)

Must have for fans of John Mayer, 2008-10-06
This two-disk set is a must have for fans of John Mayer. Whether you love his, acoustical arrangements, pop songs or the sound of the John Mayer Trio, you will find, "Where the Light Is" a perfect addition to your John Mayer collection. For those new to the sound and style of John Mayer, this set is a perfect introduction to his music.

In my personal opinion, I believe Mr. Mayer to be one of the most talented musicians on the stage. His mastery of the guitar allows him to fuse traditional blues, jazz and pop sounds into compilations with broad appeal. Fans who enjoy the styles of James Taylor, Dave Matthews and Jimi Hendrix will find John Mayer worthy of their time.

INCREDIBLE - EXTRAORDINARY - PHENOMENAL - WHERE WILL IT END, 2008-09-29
As Incredible as music can get, John Mayer transcends Incredible to Extraordinary to Phenomenal to ... where will it end? I loved his first 2 major commercial releases Room for Squares and Heavier Things. After those releases, new John Mayer music was not appearing on commercial radio, which is either a sign that he was not recording or that commercial radio is in major decline. Three years later we got "Waiting on the World" (Continuum), but was that all there was from that release? Especially when he won the Grammy? No, which answers why commercial radio is in decline. Why we weren't hearing "more" is related to the change or departure in style that we were accustomed to from John Mayer and how we don't tolerate change in Artists we've come to "know".

I was fortunate to DVR an appearance on (PBS no less) Austin City Limits from October 2007. It re-opened my mind and presented me with the possibility that the reason I wasn't hearing John's music had more to do with me than it had to do with him.

Now I am back on board. And if you are out there wondering if it's worth it, well all you have to do is answer the question: "Did you hear the imprints of R&B or Blues in any his acoustic stuff"? If you did, than you didn't see Continuum as a departure or change but as a Continuum. You will see "Where the Light Is", as a compilation of poetry and music by an extraordinary talent communicating via an instrument you would think he invented. And to think he is so young will make us old folks pine to Stop This Train.

    Not just live--but alive, 2008-09-03
Live or studio, John Mayer's music is good stuff. This recording is beautifully mastered. You get live quality without the hiss of the audience. Plus, this is a pretty good deal, two disks for a little more than the price of one.

    My favorites:

Waiting for the World To Change
Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
    Daughters
    Why Georgia
