Sticky And Sweet For You Ears , 2008-04-29
Okay So I Will Say at first I was skeptical about this album. I mean I love the Lead single 4 Minutes, but I thought Justin took over the song a little much, but this is no reflection on the entire album. The album is absolutely incredible. It truly is what Confessions promised to be; a total dance album.

    1) Candy Shop: The lead-off song. This song is really catchy. It's simple and sweet with lots of inneundos. It sets a good mood for the whole album.

    2) 4 Minutes: You Know This One

    3) Give It 2 Me: One of the best songs on the album. This song really portarys the early 80s NYC sound you would find in clubs. Madonna really "Gives it to" us here.

    4) Heartbeat: This song is classic Madonna. It has a great pop sound to it.

    5) Miles Away: A Great song about Madonna's relationship with Guy. It begins with an Acoustic guitar opening and then morphs into a great dance track.

    6) She's Not Me: This song is really hot. It's Madonna at her edgy best. It's reminds me of an updated version of Theif of hearts. Hot beat and hot lyrics make this single material. Total hit here.

    7) Incredible: I must say I did not like this song when I first heard it, but it has grown on me a lot. It's another classic M Pop song and I love the break-down.

    8) Beat Goes On: Wow this is total single material. The 80's club sound works perfect and during Kayne's rap you will feel like Madonna was channeling "Bad Girls" while working on this one.

    9) Dance 2Night: Another Madonna/Justin Duo. Although this one is by far superior to 4Minutes. It's a great dance track with a catchy lyrics. I love the fact that Madonna has control on this track unlike "4 Minutes"

    10) Spanish Lesson: My least favorite song on the ablum. Altough I am not that fond of it, it's still not horrible. I think Madonna was trying to channel a new song simmilar to the remix of La Isla Bonita she perfomed at Live Earth. It's basically Madonna giving a "Spanish Lesson" to a student. It has some innuendo but not as much as "Candy Shop"

    11) Devil Wouldn't Reconigze You: This is a classic Madonna song. It's the closet she has came to a Classic M ballad since "You'll See". Despite this being closer to the ballad side, you can still dance to it.

    12) Voices: Another Madonna/Justin Duo, with quite a dark mood. It's total oppistie to the opening of the album. While this is not my favorite song, it's still fairly good and worth giving a listen to.

    13) Ring My Bell (For Those Who Bought the Pre-Order Deluxe): This song ranks with "Spanish Lesson". It's okay, but I am glad it did not make the final cut.

    Fresh, Sticky, and Sweet, 2008-04-29
At first, I was a bit worried when I heard that Lady M was collaborating with so many hip-hop masters. I wanted Madonna to stay true to herself, even if it meant - as she constantly does - reinventing her image, style, and music. Now that I've gotten the new CD, I am more than relieved - I am thrilled with this album.

Sure, "Four Minutes" is a loud, silly, hypnotic mess of a hit. But it's not really characteristic of the rest of the songs. "Give it to Me" (the second single) is another assault on the senses while still being undeniably catchy.

However, I am really most impressed with "Miles Away" (poignant, heartbreaking, and still entertaining; it updates the "Cherish" era with modern sonic appeal while adding a little of the vibe of the recent hit "Apologize"), "Incredible" (which takes the listener on a mad, wonderful, dance journey), "She's not Me" (retro mixed with edge and a rather biting lyric) and "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" - which definitely shows the influence of Justin Timberlake in a good way.

"Miles Away" and "She's not Me" seem to comment on Madonna's own relationship with Guy and offer some rare insight into her own world while still maintaining an upbeat and commercial sensibility. Madonna, thankfully, might have moments of reflection - but she never loses the urge to dance and avoids the potential of being maudlin.

Overall, Madonna has given us hooks galore and seems to be doing an homage to her first, classic, self-titled album while also keeping things innovative and contemporary. Sure, she's using hit-makers of the day - but she's making them work for her and serve her own vision first. Bravo to Her Madgesty!

    INCREDIBLE , 2008-04-29
WOW!!! What an incredible collection of new amazing songs from the queen of pop!!! If you liked Madonna's old classics, you will surley have a nice taste for this ear candy. She goes back to her roots with a new updated twist that is not only jamming, but alot of fun in the process. The new beats are just what the doctor ordered for our Lady "M". These songs are sure to bring Madonna back on top. Incredible confection, INDEED!!

Throw Back To The Retro 80's, 2008-04-29
This album is way different from her past albums of dance. Fortunately older Madonna fans will appreciate the older retro 80's vibe this album has. People who don't like change or reinventions in life are warned that this is still dancey but it has the R&B beat of dance. I suggest for people to buy this album because it is different and another reinvention of the invisable Madonna!

Yummy! . . . Just what my Sweet tooth needed!!!, 2008-04-29
Hard Candy has finally arrived. I have been waiting impatiently for this release. I have to admit that this is one of Madonna's best albums. For those of you who are worried that this album is too Timbaland/Pharrell/Timberlake, FEAR NOT! . . . This album is very much Madonna. The songs are amazing and the overall feel of the album is amazing. 4 Minutes does not represent the album properly. There are many other tracks that are much better than the first single. Gems like Give It 2 Me & Incredible give a better insight into what Hard Candy sounds like. Don't be quick to judge and take a listen. You're in for a sweet surprise!!

Here's a track by track review:

Candy Shop: This is pretty much the same version as the one that leaked months ago. Im guessing Madonna
liked how it sounded so she didn't bother to change it. Still it is fun to listen to.
    "My Sugar is RAW"

4 Minutes: You all know this one.

Give It 2 Me: Definitely one of the best tracks. It has a modern pop sound with some 80s influence. Very fun & energetic.
    "Get Stupid, Don't Stop It"

Heartbeat: Love the electro-sound of this track. More of a mid-tempo song but still good enough to dance to.
    "See My Booty Get Down"

Miles Away: Very Sweet. Obviously for her hubby Guy. This song features some acoustic guitars as well as some dance flavor towards the end.
"You always have the biggest heart when we're 6,000 miles apart"

She's Not Me: This song reminds me of Sorry. M letting the guy know that no one compares to her. Good sound and great lyrics.
    "She doesn't have what's ours"

Incredible: Hands down the best song on the album. Love how the momentum builds up as the song progresses. Just an amazing dance song.
"Sex with you is . . . Incredible"

Beat Goes On: Looks like Madonna took her advice from the demo and tried something new. Although I liked the demo it felt like it was missing something. This version feels complete and Kanye's rap fits perfectly. Has a nice pop/urban sound to it.
"Don't sit there like some silly girl"

Dance 2night: This song is okay. I was expecting this song to be upbeat like 4 minutes. The lyrics are good though.
"You don't have to be beautiful to be understood"

Spanish Lesson: Very fun and upbeat. It's great to hear M singing some Spanish again. Although the translations aren't 100% correct it is still to hear some "lessons." This song really makes me want to get up and dance.
"Yo te quiero means I Love You"

Devil: Im glad that this song was finally conceived. Love the dark feel to it. Many compare it to Cry Me A River but I think that it is way better than River. Another great gem.
"Even the devil wouldn't recognize you BUT I do"

Voices: Another dark track. Very haunting. Good lyrics and emotional ending. Very similar to the ending on Push.
"Who is the master & who is the slave?"

Ring My Bell: The pre-order track. This song is decent. Too bad it didn't make the final cut.

Remixes: The remixes are decent. I really like Junkie XL and the Oakenfold mix of Give it 2 me is amazing.

    So here's the review.
Hope that you will enjoy the album like I am right now. Don't be quick to judge and
listen to the album. Forget the whole Timbaland & Co. and their attachment to the
album. Madonna definitely takes the wheel and the producers take the back seat. I
recommend this album to all fans, newbies, and anyone looking for a great workout
album. Remember to "Work up a sweat cause that's what music's for."
