Sturdy and Noisy, 2008-10-06 So far this thing works like a charm. The only problem is the noise. Not when it's printing, I expect a racket then, but at random it starts piping up enough to disturb the peace. For example, while watching a movie (in another room), while peacefully surfing the web, etc. It's very annoying, because you don't know when to expect it... and I'm not that easily annoyed. So I pretty much have decided that I'm going to turn it off except when I need to print. Otherwise, good value.
shipping GREAT & product VERY NICE value!, 2008-10-06 I have found that, so far, this printer does an excellent job for a great price! Amazon did a superb job start to finish!
Wireless - - NOT, 2008-10-05 Don't count on wireless with this product. It will get on the network OK, but you might find that it's "offline" with no hope of ever printing wireless. You could spend two or three hours on a weekend afternoon confirming this, or take advice from me and the other reviewers who say so. Don't count on any useful advice from the Brother websites either. Just use the cable.

Be aware of cost for drum/toner replacements!, 2008-10-05 I had little problems setting up wifi on this printer. Works well, prints fine and quick. Annoying to find out though that both the drum and toner need to be replaced on this unit. Drum is quite costly at approx $70-$80 at best... plus toner around $40-$50. Drum life expectancy is approx 12000pgs. For the wifi convenience I guess I have to stick with this printer. But, I do prefer to use my HP laser printer for times where wifi printing are not needed. My HP laser doesn't have a costly drum I need to replace and has worked flawlessly for over 3 years.

A Solid Printer that does the job...wirelessly, 2008-10-01 This printer has everything I needed: 1. It's fast 2. The black and white print quality is perfect 3. It's output is very high before you need to replace toner (Unlike all those crap $50 inkjets I bought before) 4. It's WIRELESS.
It's an amazing feeling to be able to sit in my living room on the first floor and send as many print jobs as I want to this printer on the second floor and have them all print out perfectly. A few of my friends have even said its like "magic" when watching this thing work with my computers wirelessly. An awesome printer, solid price, and Brother Tech support is good too!
