 Dependable software, 2008-05-02
I'm not computer-savy but I really needed microsoft word for my mac. This was VERY easy to install and so far I'm loving it. It has Word, Excel, Powerpoint and something else that I can't quite remember right now (goes to show how savy I am). I'm glad I got the most updated version too. It's actually been fun playing because I'm used to working on a PC at my job. I haven't run into any probs with it.

Being a relatively recent defector from the PC world to Mac, it became immediately obvious after coming over to the Mac OS that most of the world lives on the PC side. This created instantaneous headaches as is relates to sharing of Word and Power Point documents.
While my desire was to keep my machines "pure Apple", reality looms and I sought advice from someone at the "Genius Bar" at my local Apple store. He recommended just going with this product, relating that is was far less cumbersome than constantly changing formats on the documents I was using each day. So I did, and $140 later I have it installed on my 2 Macs and have not had big problems yet. I don't use Excel much, so I can't comment there.....I do admit that iWorks has a far better word processor and Keynote program, but making these work efficiently in a predominant PC world gets old. Maybe we can all just hold out for the day when Microsoft takes a nosedive.....which might not be too far off, given the garbage that they've made recently such as Vista.

I love my bag! It is exactly what I was looking for. Something stylish but not bulky, just enough to hold my laptop and cords. Great deal too!
 stick with 2004, 2008-04-30
There is not a single feature in the entire Office 2008 package that makes up for the lost VBA/macro/add-in functionality in Excel 2008. They ruined this one. Do not upgrade. Stick with Office 2004.
awesome, 2008-04-27
this version of office is so easy to use, especially for someone like me, who is a bit slow at things. The layout is up to date and just beautiful. This is my first Mac and now with how easy I can have the programs I am used to on it... makes me never want to go back to PC's.
