Works perfectly!, 2008-09-05 When my computer last crashed the backup software I was using didn't work, so after checking a few reviews I purchased Acronis True Image 11 Home and have used it for daily incremental backups -- darn good thing, too! After installing XP's Service Pack 3 my computer became buggy and wouldn't connect to the Internet so I used True Image 11 to restore it to the previous day's configuration. After about an hour and a half of waiting my computer was not only back to normal, it seemed to run faster! I can't recommend this product enough!

Acronis does not respond to troubles., 2008-09-04 I started with Acronis 10 on a Windows 2000 system. I checked its operation and everything (restores) worked as it should. When Version 11 came out I bought it because they said that it was more user friendly and that seemed worth the money. Unfortunately, because 10 had worked so well, I didn't test ver. 11. I had a disk crash. I put in a new disk and tried to restore from my Acronis archive on my D:\ drive. It would not function. I spent two weeks emailing Acronis and leaving requests for help on their website. There was absolutely NO RESPONSE. NONE! I got the phone number of the CEO of Acronis Mr. Walter Scott and when I called him he PROMISED that he would get someone to contact me. It has now been over a month since I first contacted Acronis with my problem. I have had to create a new system disk and go through the trouble of recovering what data I could from my original disk. Acronis still has not answered my calls for help. They evidently don't care about problems caused by their software.

Don't buy this garbage, 2008-09-01 Wanted to try an SSD for booting, so I tried cloning my C drive to another HDD, so I could then remove all the non required files and clone that to a 64GB SSD. The inital clone did not work, only created an empty partition, but never gave an error message of any kind. This was quite repeatable. I got this to work with another (better) product, so I wanted to uninstall this program. This, as it turns out, is quite a PITA. SO look elsewhere unless you enjoy wasting your time.

Admiralty, 2008-08-31 Where do we start? Let us start with the lack of any explanation as to what to do when you receive an error message during the backup operation, which I did receive when I attempted to make a backup. I purchased this product solely to make a backup not for the dozens of other options. It failed to do that due to errors that it does not explain how to correct.

Acronis True Image writer, 2008-08-30 The program works very well, fast. Instructions are easy to use. My only complaint is that the instructions for creating a bootable recovery disk are not clear. It seems to want you to boot from the program disk, then recover the system from the created disk copies. Seems like the program would create a bootable recovery disk without need to use the original software CD.
