Where do we start? Let us start with the lack of any explanation as to what to do when you receive an error message during the backup operation, which I did receive when I attempted to make a backup. I purchased this product solely to make a backup not for the dozens of other options. It failed to do that due to errors that it does not explain how to correct.

The program works very well, fast. Instructions are easy to use.
My only complaint is that the instructions for creating a bootable
recovery disk are not clear. It seems to want you to boot from the program disk, then recover the system from the created disk copies. Seems like the
program would create a bootable recovery disk without need to use the original software CD.

I tried this on a new XP computer with no extra software nor any spy/virus detection software installed. The backup proceedure though simple, does not work with custom options, A "complete" backup to an external drive or media may work but takes alot of disk space. If you desire not to backup certain files or folders the application fails. Restoration is another issue. A PC will boot with the supplied CD disk, But I have not been able to restore the computer to it's original state using the backup. Support from the company would be a dream come true. I have tried to test the app before anyones life can depend on it. My advice "Don't depend on Acronis 11" to save the day. And I yet have to read any review that has actually restored a PC using it. This is an amazing product. I am going to buy another copy for home and will also suggest it to family members and friends.
