    Microsoft Live One Care, 2008-06-16
This is a very good software. Its very similar to Norton 360 or System Mechanic Enterprise. The only con I can think of it is, it makes your system a bit slowere due to many background activities.

Its a very good product for a decent price.

This is not a great product, but works well with windows. However, it does not help overcome many of the problems that one might encounter with the windows operating system and it brings with it a few frustrations of its own. It blocks a few legitimate programs and is by no means invisisble while it operates.

Good all in one but not so good anti-virus, 2008-06-14
This is the heaven for windows users. With the onecare, I get anti-virus, firewall, malware remover and system maintain tools. It is slightly complicated for my wife (a English / Accounting major auditor) but just right for me (a computer Engineer doing high level research). The tune-up tool, which defrags your disk and check viruses, is good for regular maintain, however, the forced frequency of 4 weeks or more frequent of such tune-ups is a burden for a not-so-frequently used laptop. The onecare let you share local resources, e.g. printers, without any advanced settings - this saves your money on buying a network printer or printer server. The all in one design makes your system tray really neat.

Some complaint, first, its back up is not really efficient, when my system crashed, there looks no efficiently way for me to restore. Second, which is a major defect as an A-V product, and reduced a star from 5, is that it is not a good at detecting non-English based viruses and malwares. There are only English in my systems, however, when I downloaded some packages (which are assumed to be English packages and appeared to be) and wanted to install on my computer, it never says there is a virus but there are actually a batches virus by Chinese programmers. I was with Symentac for 5 years and never get a virus (they detected Russian and Chinese viruses for me), now I started using onecare for 1.5 years and got a batch of virus after 7 years virus free experience. I am trying to clear those (5 so far) viruses by hand with google and apparently I am doing a more effective job than onecare. Last, not that important though, it does not have 64 bit version.

Overall is is a good product, but Microsoft need to put more efforts in it for 30-40 dollars price.

    Live One Care, 2008-06-13
I bougth this product after using the trial version for three months, I think it is very good and mainly very simple to use. I was having a lot of problems with Norton which tries to over protect and only causes problems. Strongly recommend One Care.

Good product. but pain for novice users when it comes to networking, 2008-06-10
A product by Microsoft - as always they write applications that will work in their environment (Windows). Some people say even though it is from Microsoft, it doesn't work with 64-bit but i have really not tried to install this one. I have had this product for about 6 months now and i haven't seen any issues, other than doing some printing on a network printer, or some networking and firewall related work. Even those are not actually issues, its just that i am not too familiar with networking and so i have to look up to find out what needs to be done in Live OneCare to print to a network printer.. its basically settings that you have understand properly.

Other than that, works like a charm - anti-virus gets updates automatically, and it has trapped a few Trojan viruses from websites while browsing. Completely integrates with Windows Vista. This is my first year with OneCare. So i don't have any experience with cancelling or renewing. If the renewal is going to be more than $30.00, then i will probably cancel.

I will surely recommend this product if you have Microsoft Vista installed. Symantec and McAfee can be a memory hog on Windows XP, 2003 and especially Vista.
