Great enhancer, 2008-03-16 Everyone knows that more provacative pictures are taken since the onset of digital photography. With this program you can make your memories even better. You can make things bigger or smaller(why?) as you wish, and years later have visual proof of the way you remembered the experience. Not that I would ever need anything for enhancement, but it's there if I ever wish. This doesn't even mention the multitude of tools available, that are pretty easy to use, to take care of any blemishes on you or your goddess. This is a great program that is well worth the money.

Not What It Should Have Been, 2008-03-16 This is essentially a good program but is hardly an improvement over Photoshop Elements 5. That makes this upgrade more like a marketing ploy.
I have had no problem loading it on Vista but I only use it for RAW photos.
If Adobe Premiere Elements 4 worked on my computers that use AMD microprocessors I would feel better. I would even stop using Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 for my JPEG's.
If Photoshop Elements 6 had some of Premiere Elements 4's features I would have written a rave review.
By the way, Adobe makes it a real pain to apply for the $20.00 rebate. This is consistent with their marketing strategies.

PhotoShop 6 poor print setup, 2008-03-15 I have PhotoShop Elements 3.0 and 6 For my PC I need resolution 960x600 and PhotoShop 6 doesn't support this for their print settup. You can't see the word print. I can manage to work that part anyway. The rest of their print setup is awful. It takes many tries to get it to print the way you want. Yesterday I finally gave up and went to CAMEDIA Master and printed the way I wanted in a few minutes. One other complaint I have is - They didn't make it easy to unlock a picture. Why should we have to go to - Image - Transform - Free Transform - OK just to get the picture unlocked. I hate this.

Cant they leave a good thing alone, 2008-03-14 I know i will not be liked by many people out there. I have been a advid user of adobes photoshop and switched over to elements at version 4.0. loved it then. It was easier to use than the standard photoshop. When 5.0 came along i was even more pleased with it. I said to myself more features on an already existing product. i again liked it. So when 6.0 came out i bought it sight unseen. Man what a disapointment. Yes it does have some good additions into this product line that i enjoy but this does not outway the bugs and features they have removed from it.
Pros: 1: Added a new feature when selecting objects to remove. a much added improvement. 2: It boots up faster than version 5.0.
Cons: 1: it crashes with windows error everytime i close the program. I have reloaded the operating system twice and it still does it. (i have 2 copies loaded on different machines and both experience these same problems. 2: They removed the standard background color of the program and replaced it with a brownish / black color. its hard to tell if you have selected the button or not. cannot find any place to change the color back. 3: the print feature is now messed up. Depending upon what printer im sending it to it reverts back to the default printer even though i went in and changed it. 4: I have to be extremely carefull when having more than one photo opened (never had this problem on previous version) It is not uncommon for this program to error and crash when trying to work with more than one photo at a time.
This version of Elements has left a bad taste in my mouth. I would love to revert back to version 6.0 if i could but conditions do not allow me to. I am stuck with this program. I can only hope that they remedy thes bugs either in a patch or in the next release.
I dont recomend this to anyone. Keep version 5
