Easy to install seems to work fine, I replaced a CA product on my laptop. I will probably replace McAfee on my desktop when the license for that one expires.

Couldn't Get it to Install, 2008-04-16
I can't say whether this program will work for you. It didn't for me. And apparently others, as well.

First, the autoplay function refused to initiate installation. After numerous attempts, I was able (barely) to get it to begin the installation process. Next, the program refused to install, claiming that I had another anti-virus program (PC-Cillin) installed. I have never used that program, and have only used Norton and V-Com's anti-virus programs in the 7 years I have owned my computer. I am very computer literate, so I removed every remnant of the Norton program from my system (using not only the uninstall routine from the Control Panel, but the Norton Removal Tool furnished at their website). I then went through the registry and removed every reference to Norton and Symantec (the program publisher).

Still no luck installing the Panda program. Still received the error message referring to "PC-Cillin." Believing that V-Com's (now Avanquest's) SystemSuite 7 (or one of its earlier iterations formerly installed on my computer) could be the culprit, I uninstalled that program, and carefully removed any reference I could find in the registry. Hours later, I once again attempted to install Panda. Same problem getting the installation routine to work -- and once working, I still received the same error message pertaining to "PC-Cillin." Incidentally, I could find no reference in the registry to PC-Cillin or Trend Micro (the publisher).

Went to Panda's online support pages. Could not get the FAQ pages to load. No telephone support is provided. Finally utilized the email support. I received no reply for 48 hours. And when I did receive it, it was entirely unhelpful.

Finally, I gave up. I installed Norton's Internet Security 2008, a memory hog, but at least it works.

    So far so good, 2008-04-08
Panda Internet Security is mostly unobtrusive and I haven't noticed any penetrations. That's good. I am frequently asked for my Supervisor's password. This is probably something I could turn off, with consequences of which I am currently unaware. It's a little annoying in any case. It is reassuring to notice, everytime I sit down to Windows (I usually work in Linux), that my Panda installation has been updated.
