easy to use (3.5 stars), 2008-07-30
This is a decent program that will get the job done to protect your pc from the past and current viruses. It is extremely easy to use and install on your computer. Once on the computer the program will make sure to protect your computer, provide updates to new viruses and make sure you get your renewal notices in a timely fashion. This is a good competitor to other virus programs like nortons and pc-cillin.

    Great Software!, 2008-07-28
McAfee is one of the two American companies I know of. Norton is the other. About the software, great protection at a great price. Slow start up that I can deal with to know I'm protected.

found it was incompatable with my current AVG Anti-virus software. keeping it to use in my other computer which uses McAfee that will go out of date soon. like McAfee-its fast, stays in the background and catches the problem right away-It's better than Norton!

    Norton's Better, 2008-07-24
McAfee Virus Scan isn't really free with purchase because the catch is that it is only free for the first 60 days. After that, you need to pay to get the service for a year of updates. What gives? If I pay for something shouldn't it be free after that? Stick with Norton you'll be happier.
