    Pretty good product, 2008-03-10
The product is the best I've used but it can be a little confusing. One part of the program is matching words or sentences to pictures and in some of them you can't always figure out what they are saying. The program I have is all in Spanish and there is no place to get a translation if you want it. Other then that it is a great product. I have only had it for a month and have learned a lot.

Works Perfect with Windows Vista, 2008-03-09
I just wanted to say that Rosetta Stone works perfect with Windows Vista. Don't listen to other reviews, they may refer to previous versions but the version 3 works great & I had no problem setting it up & using it on my computer.

Rave for RV3 running on a Mac, 2008-03-06
I recently purchased Rosetta Stone V3.02 French and have found it practical, fun, easy to install and addictive.

Contrary to what was stated in an earlier review, the installation on a Mac running the Leopard OS was painless and as simple as what one would find with any other Mac application. There were no accessory files or extra steps: simply dragging and dropping an icon into the Application Folder.

After moving through the first 3 units, I've found myself internalizing a surprising amount of vocabulary, grammar and structure in a way that is natural and unlabored. We're going to be traveling to France in a few weeks and In effect it has allowed me to immerse myself in the language in advance, initially at a very simple, but increasingly more advanced, level. It's a fun and effective way to prime the language neurons before embarking on a trip. Three members of our family are using it so we're finding it is far more cost effective than taking a formal class and because of the immersion and repetition we're finding it incredibly effective.

    Many thumbs up.

    Inflexible Licensing Agreement, 2008-02-17
The personal edition EULA states that it is acceptable for sharing among the immediate household. However the activation required to use the product 'locks' it to a single installation. Therefore it can only be installed one time and on a single PC. Very inconvenient if you don't have a laptop and want to use it in different areas of your home. Beware that this very expensive product is not 'yours' after purchase. It (per the EULA) will always belong to Rosetta Stone, with them 'always' dictating how you may use it.
