 Save yourself a lot of frustration - get MEP 11 instead!, 2007-05-17
I am an avid user of Movie Edit Pro 11 and thought 12 would be even better. I couldn't have been more wrong! The video preview screen is very jumpy and choppy. That alone I could have dealt with. I went as far as exporting part of a video I had been working on and it came out the same way. So now the program is pretty much useless to me. I've talked to other people and they've had the same problems as I'm having. I have XP Home and tried installing the software on my other computers which are running XP Pro and ME and got the same results. I am beyond disappointed in this product and it's too bad because it had a lot of potential if not for that one major problem.

 Don't let the low price fool you., 2007-05-09
This is a surprisingly full-featured editing tool with everything from titles, effects, fades,transitons, sound track and other features. There is even a feature to reduce image jitter. It can seem daunting, at first since there are so many things it can do, but if you take one step at a time and try each feature at your own pace, it will all fall into place. I've had it for about a month and am putting together an hour-long feature which it will then burn to a DVD, complete with all the usual fetures such as scene selection,etc.
It handles 16:9 as well as the old 4:3. It works with Windows Vista, including the 64 bit versions.
