Maxfire pro - good bang for the buck, 2008-11-10 This product is about what you would expect. It's a small and portable gamepad for your laptop - it works well with emulators and is plug and play with microsoft operatings systems.
I do agree with some other reviewers that the analog stick could use some more work. It's not a smooth slide from left to right, there is definately some friction due to mechanical griding. Directly under the stick (the top of which can be popped off) there is a paper disc that keeps dust from getting inside the gamepad. I removed it and it appeared to help with the motion of the analog nub.
Overall I cant complain, it does exactly what I want it to and was very inexpensive.
You get what you pay for, 2008-11-03 Cheap, Cheap, Cheap. Not the greatest, but not a waste of money either. Very, Very small. My 5yr old loves it.
Works well, but force-feedback driver conflicts with SpaceNavigator, 2008-10-30 This is a great little gamepad; I've never used a PSP before, so I'm not sure how the analog nub compares. It works pretty well. One issue I had was that when I had the force-feedback driver installed, the outputs from my SpaceNavigator didn't work. So I'm using it without the force feedback. The vibration does work; it isn't as strong as a bigger gamepad, but it's definitely a cool feature, especially for such a tiny device. The case it comes with is also a plus, since I can shove it in a bag and it's protected.
not built to last, 2008-06-13 Worked for a while on gametap games.......a month after purchase, the cord died then a month after that the controller is drifting left uncontrollably. Great size for travel and for my 4 year old. Boo!
Portable Perfection, 2008-04-23 I bought this because I wanted a small, portable, easy to set up controller to play games, mostly NES emulators and the like while I work 3rd shift at a very boring and dull job, and for that purpose, it is the best 10-15 bucks I've spent in awhile, it's quick in and quick out. if you have a more permanent setup in mind, though, I would go with a more ergonomic controller like the PS3 or Xbox 360 for windows setups.
