Silverfall, 2008-11-17 It would have been nice if it said on the box that this was only an online game.

Vista problems, 2008-02-23 First of all, this game has all kinds of bugs, errors, and compatibility issues, it took me 2 days and a NO-CD hack to even get the game to start... They used a crappy dual layer dvd copy protection scheme which failed to do anything other than force me to use a crack to even play the game. The trouble shooting and support for this game are also terrible.
Initially once the game started I was impressed. However that soon faded as I became frustrated with the poorly designed user interface and character movement/targeting controls.
This is NOT a WASD game, if it were this review would be at least a 3 star. Its disappointing because had they used a different mode for controlling the character the game would have been fantastic. Graphically it is impressive at times, mostly early in the game. You can tell that they really stretched for content towards the end.
The gear system is ridiculous. There are dozens of worthless statistics that appear on 90% of the magic items, making them worthless. The 'Bosses' don't even drop magic items... WTF kind of RPG game has bosses with no loot... But luckily gear is so worthless that you can literally play the entire game as a caster completely naked. And if you want to play melee good luck, the targeting system is horrible.
Overall this game had massive potential, but once again the developers failed big time.

Something to pass the time away., 2007-10-04 This game is pretty much another 'Hack-n-Slasher' in the same tradition as the "Gizillion" of others that most of you who have played games like "Diablo","Dungeon Siege" and most recently "Titan's Quest". Although there are a few features that set this one apart from the others, it's pretty much the same formula dressed up in a different package. Now in no way am i downing this title because I am enjoying it. I purchased this one to sort of break up the monotunous (leveling up) that i am doing in "Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion"-(Yes,i am one of those who haven't beat this one yet due to the sometimes boredom of the game, and believe me I'm a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan from way back, but 'Oblivion' sometimes makes me yawn). Back to this one though. Graphics are well put together and so far i have not had any problems in that department. The story although not all together original, does have a way of keeping your interest, but the constant re-adjusting of the camera angle that you'll find yourself doing in battle can be very tedious and fustrating. The balance of the game can be unnerving for beginners though because even set on the (Normal) setting you'll find yourself dying way too often than you would like especially when you're battling not only Hordes of enemies, but also the camera as well. Not a bad game..but not a great one either,it has it's moments though. I recommend this one to those who are looking for some time to kill between other titles that you are playing and need a break to keep it fresh. 3 Stars and 'Suprisingly' a higher "FUN FACTOR" than (Oblivion), yet in no way as intresting, addictive or as engaging as the "Icewind Dale" "Baldur's Gate" or even closer to this type of gameplay- The "Sacred" series. -holyknight8

Fun Game, but not spectacular, 2007-09-25 I'll keep this short. -I found the game highly entertaining. -I didn't experience any major bugs that I can remember. -You're choices between Tech and Nature effect the look of Silverfall. -Cell-shading type of graphics were well done. -My only real complaint is that it was too easy. I was a combat spec'd Tech Troll, and Even late in the game I was one-shotting things. I was also leveling up every 15 minutes or so. At first it was cool, but after awhile it took away the excitement you normally feel when you ding in other RPGs. Basically, I would say this is a good game for the casual RPG fan, or anyone that just wants to sit down for an hour and bash things.

Great game in the Diablo / Titan Quest genre, 2007-08-28 I played this game for weeks and never got tired of it. I will re-play it after I finish Titan Quest and expansion, and then Oblivion expansion, and then... well, I WILL play it again. I had no problems that I can remember running it or playing in on XP. Would highly recommend this game.
