Good earphones with bad fittings, 2008-07-03 These earphones are deplorable out of the box. They had no bass, sounded very metallic and were not comfortable to wear. For the fun of it I changed the fittings for those on my V-Moda's (which are superior earphones) and the sound improved dramatically. They sound better across the entire spectrum. They went from deplorable to slightly above adequate. The mic is just that, a mic, nothing to criticize or rave about. With the right fittings and for casual convenient music on a Palm device, these will do the trick.
Palm Stereo Headset, 2008-03-09 I own a Palm Treo 680 smartphone and I am very satisfied with it. I bought the Palm stereo headset believing that it would give me the same satisfaction having been made by Palm. When it arrived, I was very disappointed. The sound was so poor it seemed like you are listening to a "tin can". No bass sound whatsoever. The old stereo headset that I bought for only $3.00 has far better sound quality.
Totally Adequate, 2008-02-22 I'm satisfied. I use it on my Treo 650, for working out. Went skiing with it inside my helmet yesterday. Worked fine. I like the handy volume control on the mic. The rubber earbuds help to block outside noise, and stay put better than foam. The sound quality won't knock your socks off. It is a little "tinny" so, it doesn't sound as good as a set costing three times as much. Go figure... If you're looking for a headset that's adequate for "walk/run/ski/..." music for around $30, this'll do. It's not for audiophiles who want to "lay back, close your eyes, and your in Carnegie Hall." -Pat Also works well when snow blowing the driveway...
