 Love the IPOD, 2008-10-21
I bought the IPOD shuffle for my son and he loves it. There's been a learning curve as this is the first time he's owned one. So far so good.

Very good player if . . ., 2008-10-20
Pros: Great sound, easy to use, and brick solid after more than one drop to the floor/ pavement.
Cons: Easy (for me) to misplace.
My solution: Have two of the shuffles. Doubles my chances of find one when I want it.
Rating: 5 stars. Can't blame Apple for my absentmindedness.

Purchased as a gift, 2008-10-20
I purchased this as a gift for my 8 year old niece. She LOVES it. So, my only idea of how great or useful this item was, is based upon how happy she is in using it.

size nice and small
excellent sound too.
Great for Audio Books, 2008-10-18
Pros: It's simple. Great to listen to audio books/music while walking/running. Simple pause, forward, back,shuffle, and off/on with one touch control. Remembers where you were in a chapter and restarts there. Lightweight and easily clips on shirt or pants. Lots of free downloadable listening materials on iTunes and other online sites (pod casts, audio books, university lectures, radio shows, childrens literature, ect). Great value for what it does.
Cons: It's simple. Can't see what chapter your listening or name of song. If you want all the bells and whistles get the ipod touch, it's amazing, but more cumbersome and costs a lot more.
