I love this product, 2008-09-04 I was having trouble receiving and keeping a signal in airports and hotels. My laptop has a built-in mini wireless device that is not very strong unless you are very close to the source. I could receive an excellent signal if I sat in a hotel lobby, but back in my room I had nothing but trouble. Someone suggested this adapter so I gave it a try. I love it. I have had no problems connecting at hotels since I bought this adapter. I am running Vista. I can honestly say I have not had one minute of trouble. I am buying another one for my older laptop at home since I now have wireless at my home. I would recomend this adapter to anyone who needs extra signal strength.

I hate this product, 2008-08-19 I have a desktop with XP on it and a laptop with built-in wireless. Both are my living room and the wireless router is down the hall. The Linksys USB wireless network adapter loses its connection three to five times a day. My laptop never loses a connection, so it obviously isn't the signal strength. To get the USB adapter working again, I have to unplug it and plug it back in to reset it. Also, if I use another USB port on my computer then it kills the wireless connection and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. This makes me crazy b/c I use my desktop computer to stream music while I work and I know right away when the usb adapter drops its connection and I have to reset it. Now I'm looking for a wireless LAN extender that I can plug my desktop into directly and throw this usb adapter in the garbage.
Crazy little thing ..., 2008-07-22 I bought this USB Wireless N adapter to replace a Linksys Wireless-N PCI Adapter WMP300N that didn't work at all on my kids computer (Dell Optiplex GX 110.) That card was good when I tried it with a Dell Dimension 9100, but had an incompatibility issue with the old Optiplex. So, trying to stay with Linksys, I decided to try the USB version.
I'm glad I did. The installation was a breeze (didn't use the Linksys drivers), and the computer works seamlessly with the adapter. The kids have a blast with their Internet games. I tried the adapter with a laptop and the Dimension 9100 and had the same results.
Now, the kids want a newer computer; but, that's another story ...
Excellent product, 2008-05-29 I use the Linksys WRT150N Wireless N Router at home with my PS3 and 2 computers. I use the Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter (the item being reviewed) with my desktop since the router is in a different room and I don't want to run cables. I have a wireless G card for my laptop, but I switch to the USB adapter when I'm not using it on my desktop because it gets a much stronger signal and faster downloads than the card. In short, I love it. Being on a USB cable and having a stand, you can either plug it directly into the computer, or set it a little bit away from the computer for better positioning.
Good Way to Get Wireless-N via USB, 2008-05-18 Wireless-N much better than Wireless-G. Be able to conveniently plg this device into a USB 2.0 port, is great. You can even tether this device up to 6 feet away from your PC to get better reception.
