Great Product, 2008-11-17 Amazing. I was astonished when I placed the batteries in the laser pointer and turned it on. The laser is so bright. Even at noon I can see the dot. I just got it and i am very happy with the product. I can barely see the beam from the laser, but it's still noon so ill see what happens at night.

Great laser, 2008-11-16 The black teflon-ish coating flakes and peels off after a while. 30mW is plenty bright with good alkaline batteries. It drains other batteries fast.
Awesome laser for the price!, 2008-11-10 This laser is pretty impressive for 25 bucks. It's pretty solid and has some weight to it. I don't know if it actually outputs 30mW, but it's pretty darn bright on fresh batteries. I've never owned a green laser before, so I can't say how it compares to other advertised power levels. The beam is clearly visible in mid air in a dark room and was visible for at least 50ft up in the air outside at night with street lights on all over the place and plenty of city light polution up in the sky. It does dim somewhat after it runs for a few minutes but not bad. The lasing crystals used in green lasers are sensitive to heat, as is the infrared pumping diode. The heatsinking is probably not really up to the power output, esp considering it's packed into a rubber wrapped pen. It does get warm to the touch (but throw it in the freezer for 2 min and it's insanely bright again). Considering the price, though, I don't see this as a big drawback. The $200 ones are expensive for a reason. Only complaint I can really come up with is the batteries that came with it didn't last very long, but I was expecting that before I even ordered it. Energizer lithiums are the best. Buy it! It's an awesome gadget!
awesome, 2008-10-15 This laser pointer is amazing. It has a huge range and is very visible at night. It is slightly visible in daylight. Also it is green which is pretty unique since most are red. The good news is that it uses AAA batteries which are easy to get compared to most laser pointers which use tiny batteries. My only complaint is that it may be too strong because of the lasers strength it can hurt your eyes if you use it too much while inside. I would not recommend this to a child without supervision. I would recommend it to everyone else though.
Excellent Value, 2008-09-09 This is definately a 20mw laser. I own green laser pointers in several different power settings. This is much brighter than a 5mw laser, and has a very nice beam. I got the Bonus Items as described. They don't add much to the value. 20mw Green Laser pointers usually go for about $90, but if there's something wrong with this one, I haven't seen it.
