The new Outlook, 2007-03-13 Still a very slow program, especially when it comes to downloading POP3 mail and synchronizing headers. Never understood why Outlook Express never had those problems - it was free and much, much faster program. Otherwise not that much different from previous version - mainly a new skin.

Does a great job!, 2007-03-09 Maybe it's because I was upgrading from an older version -- 2002 -- but I found the new features to be very good.
For example... the junk mail feature works better than any other I have used. It was catching junk from the very beginning, and has missed very few things. I have only had one thing put in the Junk folder that was not junk email.
Also the security features are far superior to the 2002 version. And the Calendar is more flexible and easier to use.
Installation was seemless. I think it might be a little overpriced, but considering how long I will keep it, it's not too bad.

Wait for Vista improvements before buying, 2007-03-09 Albeit this is obviously a MS product, it is not fully compatible with the "upgrade" versions of MS Windows Vista (at least the "Ultimate" version). Something went awry with the installation process to the extent that not all of the features are available, just to mention a few of the headaches I've encountered. See my review on MS Vista for further details. Tech support has been trying to fix this problem for over two weeks now, and as of my last conversation with them, it will perhaps spill over into three weeks before they are able to make any determination of what went wrong. It's possible I will ultimately be forced to undergo a "full" or "clean" install of Vista, which also means reinstalling all of my software.

Awful Reliability. Crashes Continuously and it is SLOW on a very FAST PC, 2007-03-09 I bought 2007 Outlook, including Business Manager, hoping to finally have an Outlook that could manage Tasks Better and do customized reporting.
It has been a Horror. I am running this on a fast PC with tons of memory and harddrives....
Switching Views (where it builds a view) takes minutes. The software crashes continuously during the day (twice or more hourly).
It is undependable and the new views take forever to load.
NOT RECOMMENDED. Use Outlook 2003 if you must use Outlook at all.
If anyone has recommendations for an effective email client with a real task manager and report manager, please post them somewhere!
Frustrated beyond belief with this "new" unimproved outlook.
This was a downgrade. It doesn't work as reliably or as simply as the various webmails available these days.
Actually, it just does not work AT ALL. Perpetual crash and burn.

Excellent, Finally, 2007-03-09 Finally Microsoft has done it. Outlook 2007, Office Home and Student 2007, Vista Home Premium FULL VERSION, and throw in Money 2007. You wont go wrong. Everything has finally taken shape. Excellent from ease of use, better performance and security.
