worst product i ever purchased, 2008-08-23 BUYER BEWARE!! Every 9 y.o. loves to sing and loves the idea of singing along and hearing themself so I purchased this product for my daughter on her 9th birthday, In february 2008. This product never loaded correctly. I am very good with programs and computers. I left several messages and emails with the manufacturer and they never responded. I am sure it was to late to send it back. This is a ripoff scam product, and if you purchase it you will be so sad when your child cries because the gift that was so important to her doesn't work. What a waste of money and time. I think it is safer to buy toys at the store, if it doesn't work you can bring it right back and let your child pick out something else, hear you have to pay for return shipping and then you loose points you accumulatedas well.Singing Coach Kidz
very very effective, 2007-12-05 The software helped our daughter who could not sing at all to now be able to sing 'okay'. It was done by singing once a week for 30 minutes for one year.

Singing Coach is Awesome!!!!!, 2006-12-30 I'm 12 years old and i love to sing. Before I got the singing coach, I'd be singing a song and half way through it I'd realize that I am totally off. And that was so frustrating for me. But when I got the singing coach for Chritmas I was thrilled by how accurate the step-by-step process of learning how to sing was. What's even better is that you actually feel like your in a proffesionally taught class. This is a truelly awesome product! P.S. There is a girl on the program that is learning to sing right along with you. And she is pretty bad! So no matter how terrible you think you sing, you'll practically sound like a pro.(compared with this girl).

Fun and useful!, 2006-12-05 My 9-year-old daughter wanted this, and I was pleased to discover that it is all it is advertised to be. She actually did start singing a little better, learning to hold a note and stay in tune.
Technically, I have to help her set up the headphones, and sometimes the volume control seems to default to the computer volume (something I just need to figure out). But otherwise it's terrific.

Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead!, 2006-10-25
I ordered this from Amazon.com for my 8-year-old daughter, who clamored for it after seeing it on a TV promotion on Nickelodean or Disney. It's also being promoted on MTV, VH1 and Comedy Central channels. When I received it, I was shocked to find the following label covering part of the box barcode on the bottom size of the box:
"Warning: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling."
Once the box gets tossed out in the trash, how in the world would the creators of this product expect little children, or even impatient teens for that matter, to remember to wash their hands every time they play with this particular toy, even if their parents told them once or twice to do it?
I will try to replace this PC mic/headphones headset with another one I'll pick up at an electronics store. If another mic doesn't work well with this system, I'm going to return the whole product to Amazon.com.
If you want to read the warning label for yourself, please see the "customer image" I have uploaded to the top left of Amazon.com's web page for this product (under the main product photo).
