MasterCook 9, 2008-07-23 MasterCook 9 was purchased to replace Mastercook 6 (Betty Crocker Edition) which refused to install using Windows Vista. I found that the newer version works great with Vista and I was able to import all of my personal recipes, as well as the Betty Crocker ones. This has always been wonderful software, in my opinion, and I look forward to adding even more of my personal recipes to it. It is has a small learning curve and once you have mastered that (about three recipes worth of entries will do it) you have something that will greatly aid you in keeping your paper recipes to a minimum.
program is buggy, 2008-07-15 I have version 9.0.00.20. It is basicaly unusable. Customer service by Valusoft is about the worst I have run into. Recommend avoiding the program until they get it fixed.
just ok, 2008-07-12 I bought this to get some unique ideas. It's doesn't have much I would use. I have more luck just browsing the internet. I would say I was disappointed.
Amazing Cooking Program, 2008-06-04 This program can organize all aspects of working in the kitchen. It provides nutritional information on all your recipes, keeps track of what's in your pantry, tells you what you can make with what you have on hand, and helps prepare a shopping list.
Also, it allows you to make your own cookbooks from your personal recipes.
It has the ability to enable you to scale recipes to your own needs.
The only negative side is the introduction to the various functions of the program is lacking.
Mastercook 9 Dlx, 2008-05-21 A very complete and capable recipe and dietary program!!
It is not, however, perfect. But, if you take the time to get involved with its features, it is very good!
