Outstanding!, 2008-11-02 This is my second Logitech Harmony remote, the first one lasted over three years (3 football seasons). I have a full home theater setup and xbox 360. My wife and friends and inlaws hated trying to use all the different remotes to just watch TV or a movie... once I got the Harmony 550, it all changed. my father-in-law could sit down and turn on CNN without cursing... So when that remote finally succumbed to the abuse that we put it through, we knew we needed a replacement that would offer the same convienince and maybe offer a few more niceites. That is why we opted for the 880, my biggest complaint with the 550 was you had to replace the batteries pretty often, so far the rechargeable 880 has solved that problem (i have only owned it for a couple of months now so I can't speak to the life of the batteries) the color screen allows you to customize your background and you can also put a slide show of your favorite pics on the screen saver. The buttons have a positive click feel when depressed so you know if you hit the button and with the LCD screen and the computer setup you can program your remote to operate anything that uses an infared signal. I would recomend this to all my friends and will definitely buy one for my game room. you won't be dissapointed.
Pretty Good, 2008-11-02 It works like a champ. There are a couple of problems thoug. The balance is very bad, you almost need to use two hands. Second, the buttons are too small and close together making it difficult to use in the dark.
Very cool remote, 2008-11-02 I bought this remote to replace a Sony universal that I thought was good but this one is much better. My Sony was also programmable but you had to teach it almost every remote function. This Logitech didn't need to be taught a thing. Just entered the model of the device and it already knew what to do! The Sony had a big LCD with programmable buttons, but you had to look at it to use them becuase you could not feel the buttons. This Logitech has a much smaller LCD but you can feel the buttons so you do not have to look away from the TV to work it. The internal battery scares me a little, but so far so good, I only have to charge it about once every 2 weeks. We will see if that lasts.
Great Remote, 2008-11-02 I own 2 of these remotes. For the $$$ I have not been able to find a better universal remote on the market. All your settings are configured and stored online, which makes updating the remote very easy. The menus are simple and easy to understand. The 'help' function will fix just about any problem you may have while using it. Cheers to logitech for making a very user friendly product at a reasonable price.
Logitech Harmony 880, 2008-11-02 All in all a great product. It makes things much easier and I dont have a million remotes to look for. I havent encountered the charging problems previously talked about in other reviews. It does forget once in awhile but quickly ecovers. I highly recommend it and I'm very happy with the purchase.
