Does what its suppose to (most times) , 2008-11-06 The legitech 880 Universal remote is a dream... it simplified my life (and my wifes)by eliminating all of my other remotes. Its a simple set up (done online with the usb cable it came with) it sometimes doesnt do exactly what you want like not turning on the reciever but there is a help button that checks things out for you and automatically finds the error.
Great buy (worth every penny especially with the 50 rebate)

Could be great but!, 2008-11-04 I like everything about this remote except the fact that it doesn't work for long. I have had two now and both have not lasted longer than about a year! Enough said!
Truly does it all, 2008-11-04 I am glad that the product and description and reviews were accurate. Once I programmed this remote with my a/v devices, it truly controls them all and leaves my other 4 remotes behind. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use buttons like subtitles/audio for DVD and Guide/Info/Blue for DirecTV but they are all there. It did not automatically pickup the DVD replay button (10sec replay) but either I haven't seen it or I need to program that manually (product info says it can be done).
Harmony 880, 2008-11-03 Better than other universal remotes I've had, including a much more expensive one from Sony, but it's not flawless. The one button "activities" feature makes it super user friendly, but there is no way to rearrange the pages of buttons to put the ones you use the most in the first page or two. Also has a tendency to "forget" some instructions, requiring you to re-program it online. Still, it's worth the $90 I paid online.
Logitech, 2008-11-02 Great remote for multiple components I bought one for my home.My parents and inlaws tried the remote and loved it. It makes it simple for parents that are not tech savy.On the down side Logitech didn't honor their rebate dispite following all the directions and time line.I believe it's a get you to buy ploy.
