Dude, blame Dell or yourself... not the game, 2005-06-06
To all of you out there writing bad reviews about this game or any game for that matter that have not even played, you are so typical.

To some of the reviewers here...their first problem is they bought a Dell, a low end one none the less. The higher end computers they sell will play this with no problem...you just bought into their $599 all inclusive computer deal......I bet that rebate incentive you got is not worth it now.

Most cheap mainstream computers sold come with onboard graphics that are powerful enough browse the web and to run DVD movies, which happen to be 2D not 3D. They are not gaming machines. You must pay MORE money for a decent gaming machine.

You have now purchased a 3D game. I am sure you knew this when buying it. Maybe you should take responsibility for your actions and lack of knowledge before ripping a game you have not even played. I know your type. You are so mad you probably feel like suing the game company. This experience will probably cause you and your child to be left in a traumatic state for a long, long time.

Like other readers posted. Always go and download the demo first. You get to test drive before you buy. Do us all favors and educate yourself about computers, at least for your children's sake.

No one wants to read false and biased reviews.

Incredibly misleading - I'd call it false advertising, 2005-06-05
This was the most sought-after present for my 9-year old son, whose birthday is today. Upon opening it, and installing it on our new Dell computer, the game did not run. It doesn't run on any of the PC's in our house. Spent an hour with Dell tech support, who told me they don't MAKE a computer this runs on! So, the #1 PC company doesn't make a computer this game runs on, but it's called "PC Software". Right.

There's no mention of the system requirements on the Amazon site, so I completely disagree with those putting down people "who don't read the specs" - they're not here!

So here goes: after you've received the box, you'll see you don't have the recommended "Pentium 4.2GHz or Anthlon equiv", "100% DirectX Compatible Direct3D Card with Pixel Shader Support, 64MB Video RAM and 500MB free disk space," the game will not run.

Amazon should update the product listing, and be clear about the specs. Eidos Interactive in San Francisco needs to get a clue about marketing their products with integrity. The front of the box says "PC software" - but I'll bet this won't run on 98% or more of the PC's out there today.

Run, don't walk, away from this game now, unless you have a souped up gaming PC.

Good fun for kids and adults, 2005-05-31
This is a great game for kids and adults. Of course, you need the proper hardware to run this game. If you are a gamer, you know that on-board graphic card (Intel) will not support a lot of games. If people complain that the game is not running on their new system, too bad. You should not buy a cheaper system to start with.

About the game: really fun. My son likes to see the Lego Star wars heros. There is no blood, if the figure dies, it will break to Lego pieces. Cool. Using the force to transform Lego pieces to different objects is fun too.

Be ware: If you have not watched Epsoide III and intended to see it in the theater, do not play Epsoide III part of the game. Otherwise, you will know everything happened in III.

Botton Line: great game, great fun. Get the right hardware.

    Awesome game!, 2005-05-30
Maybe some of you folks should read the "system requirements" before buying computer games. Don't put down the game just cause you don't read the fine print. Be a good consumer!

    Can't review a game that won't run on a new computer, 2005-05-24
Don't buy this game unless you are absolutely positive that it will work on your system. On second thought, just don't buy this game at all. I spent $30 on this game for a birthday present and now have a heart broken son because it won't work on an almost new Dell computer. I can't believe that a game would be sold without warnings on the box if it won't run on a new computer with Intel graphics. I'm sure alot of us don't know the exact numbers and specifics of all the innards of our computers. I'm going to look closely at who makes any of the games I purchase in the future and if it's from Eidos I will not be buying it.
