Great product for the price!!, 2007-02-01 I was a bit sceptical when I purchased this product but was plesantly surprised to discover just how great this software is. Some other reviewers mentioned it is more geared toward children but it works great for adults too. I would recommend this product to anybody with only one little caveat, get a better headset to use with this. The headset that came with it died very quickly.

Singing Coach Unlimited, 2007-01-03 We bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law. She says she feels she and her daughter are really LEARNING, and they are having endless fun doing it! We feel it was a well-received and appreciated gift, and therefore, an excellent purchase. Thank you!

Singing Coach, 2006-11-05 I received a brand new Singing Coach and am thrilled. The only thing still outstanding is the rebate from Singing Coach which I have still not received. Other than that I am extremely happy.

WARNING! Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead!, 2006-10-25
I ordered this from Amazon.com for my 8-year-old daughter, who clamored for it after seeing it on a TV promotion on Nickelodean or Disney. It's also being promoted on VH1, MTV and Comedy Central channels. When I received it, I was shocked to find the following label covering part of the box barcode on the bottom size of the box:
"Warning: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling."
How in the world would the creators of this product expect little children to know and remember to wash their hands every time they play with this particular toy, even if their parents told them to? Why in the world would the creators of this product try to save a buck or two by not purchasing a cord that is lead-free for this product, which is designed for and marketed to children and young adults, particularly to little girls, teenage girls and their mothers who purchase such products, on TV?
Thank God the environmental laws in California are stricter than in many states, although the U.S. Congress has been trying to pre-empt and nullify state environmental laws like ours by passing watered down federal legislation on warning labels that would nullify stricter laws like those we have here in California.
I will try to replace this PC mic/headphones headset with another one I pick up at an electronics store. If another mic doesn't work well with this system, I'm going to return the whole product to Amazon.com.
Shame on Carlo Franzblau, president and founder, and Kenneth Spiegel, vice president and general manager, of Carry-A-Tune Technologies, a division of their family-owned Thompson Group in Tampa, FL, for promoting a product to our children and teens on TV that can cause cancer or reproductive harm to little girls of America and all women of child-bearing age, just to save a buck on the headset/mic cord that accompanies this software!
If you want to read the warning label for yourself, please see the "customer image" I have uploaded to the top left of Amazon.com's web page for this product (under the main product photo).
