    Happy, 2008-03-29
Well I recieved this product about a month ago, and Im Happy with it. It does what it is supposed to do, and I had no problems with recieving it. The only thing I didnt like was the fact that Adobe premiere pro CS3 doesn't capture with it very well, but I guess that would be the program's fault, not the PCI card.

I am a beginer and I installed this in under 20 minutes and it worked fine. I've had no problems with this product and I am happy with it .

    True, trouble-free plug-and-play for XP, 2008-03-24
Just as described on the manufacturer's web site, this device needs no drivers from a CD or from the internet - it uses drivers that automatically come with Windows XP.

Thus, installation in your XP machine is a snap. Turn off your PC, plug in the card, turn on your PC, and your XP machine will find and start using the card just like that that.

It even comes with a 4-pin to 6-pin Firewire cable. But note, if you wanted this so you can connect an external Firewire drive, you'll need to purchase your own 6-pin to 6-pin cable.

A great device at a great price that works nice!

Works with Vista and best price around, 2008-03-03
Thanks to the reviewer who confirmed the unit worked with Vista. None of the options on Dell's website were approved for Vista and their help department was typically useless, transferring me 3 times before I gave up. This box ALSO does not say it works with Vista, but it did, right away with no fuss and no driver. Hooked up a Sony TRV22 camcorder with a DV-in connection to a Dell XPS 410 with included cable and was importing video to Windows Movie-maker in minutes. this was the best price I found around as well.

    Works with Vista? Yes., 2008-02-28
Have Lenovo J3000 series, 115 Model 7387 A11 with Vista. The TRENDnet Box doesn't state it's VISTA compatible, but I plugged into a free PCI slot, VISTA recognized new hardware, loaded proper interface, and had it working in minutes. Didn't use cable it came with, had one from my camera. Bought it since I needed a way to transfer from my DV camcorder to DVD. If you don't have internet access, no problem. My system is stand-alone, no internet access, and VISTA had what it needed to make it work. Gave it 4 vice 5 stars simply because I've only used a few days and can't rate its endurance yet.

    very pleased, 2008-02-28
easy to install. note make sure if running windows xp to download and install service pack 2 before installing the card, after figuring that out we were up and operational in 5 minuts. arrived quickly too
