Spectacular game!! (If you've the computer power for it), 2005-07-19 I bought this game knowing how much fun the original Sims was. Sims 2 is much more fun and you have so much more control over personalities, appearances and relationships, that the possibilities are endless. Also, it is great to finally have some great games for the macintosh! Make sure you have a computer that will be able to handle this game though! The system requirements listed by the manufacturer are a minimum! Buying some extra RAM is well worth playing this game!!!

Worth the wait, 2005-07-19 It took a very long time for them to come out w/ the mac version of the Sims 2, but it was worth the wait. The sequel has all the features I loved about the original and a whole lot more. My computer is a bit slow for the software, but other than that, I'm very happy w/ my purchase.
Keeping it short, 2005-07-15 Fun. Like any Sims game, I'm sure it'll fade away only to return again - but Im oozing with excitment for this. Don't worry about it If you liked the original Sims, or simulation games, or this game seems interesting to you - BUY IT. I guarantee hours of fun with these jibborish speaking sims.

Works Great, Plays Great -- with the right hardware!, 2005-07-09 I've played the PC version of this game and am thrilled that the Mac version is finally available! I have a new 2.0Gz iMac G5, and this game smokes! It loads fast, plays fast, and the graphics are smooth. Overall, on the new G5 it plays faster than it did on a 3.2 Ghz P4 512MB with nVidia 5700LE graphics.
Granted, not everyone has a new iMac, and only the 2nd generation iMac G5 has a 128mb graphics card, so I can understand the complaints about the requirements. If you have the hardware, though, this game runs great!
While this is mostly an exact copy of the PC version, I do notice various enhancements that make this more than just a cloned PC game. Some differences from the PC version: more animations, pop-up windows, and information -- like when the mail is delivered a pop up window shows the animated postman arriving. Whoo hoo is more animated, too. Such fun!

Awsome Game!, 2005-07-01 I had waited for this game to come out ever since i first played it on a Windows Machine! When it came out my iBook G4 1.07GHz was just under its system requirements. I read the reviews here and saw that most people said the game was unplayable with a just a G4 and let alone a slower G5. I took my chances a purchased this game today anyways, dispite the fact that i have 256MB Ram and only 1.07GHz this game worked perfectly fine. I don't realize what everyone else with my same specs is whining about.
