Disappointed with this newest version, 2004-10-08
DO NOT BUY THE VIRTUAL PC VERISON 7... I was so disappointed with the software because it does not run like it should be. Not even fast for business/home users at all!! I had to reinstall the virtual PC 4 times as, for some reason, it crashed and did not work anymore so I to reinstall it again and again. The last time, I just give up and just decided to buy a pc as the only software that I need is Microsoft money and Dragon Speaking. Dissatisfied with Microsoft.

Warning to Gamers and/or people with Mucho Memory..., 2004-10-05 Although it does mention it in the readme file (as well as several FAQs, etc.) VP7 is not designed to let you play "cutting-edge" PC Games (i.e. HL2, Doom 3, etc.) on your Mac, the software emulates your video card (so that ATI 9800 Pro Mac S.E. or GeForce 6800 will NOT do you any good for this program right now)...also users (particularly G5 users with 2.5GB or more of RAM are having installation troubles (hangs while after installing VP7 while trying to install WinXP Pro), the problem seems to correct itself when you limit the amount of RAM in your Mac to 2GB or less...although its cool looking at a Windows desktop on my Cinema HD Display...it's pretty much pointless without enabling me to play PC-exclusive games (i.e. CS), might suggestion to aspiring Mac Gamers (save your money, wait a few months and get the games as they are ported over to Mac), my advise to people with too much memory, save your money, and write Microsoft a nasty letter about if you can afford 8GB of memory and they can't even develope software that supports it, you'll spend your disposable income elsewhere...my advise to people who still want this program, why? You can buy a PC for less than $224, that'll do anything you can't do with a Mac...

The price is correct, 2004-10-02 Um... the reviewer above seems to confusing the version WITHOUT Windows XP with this version, which INCLUDES XP. The identical copy of the version here is in fact 249.95 on the mac.com site, which means the Amazon price is a savings of about 25 bucks.
I'd advise folks who are looking to buy software to look a tad bit closer than the first reviewer.

WAY overpriced at 224.00, 2004-09-30 All I have to say is that the price on this item far outstrips anything I've seen so far. More than it is at CompUSA, more than it is at mac.com (or the Apple store in person for that matter.)
