 Good instrument, 2006-10-21
I have been using Linksys router(which is a modem and a gateway) .It is rebooting daily so many times. This one is really good.

 Do Not Buy D-LINK, 2006-09-06
I have had problems with the DCM202 after about 5 months. It has defects that dlink is not wanting to fix, so they will never receive my business again. I have experienced similar problems as some of the other reviews with the same horrible customer service. I spent over an hour with my ISP to determine that my modem was faulty. I was not willing however to play the games of staying on the phone for hours trouble shooting the modem with dlink. The customer service is very troubling. They were unwilling to issue an rma unless I was willing to spend many more hours on the phone. They know that most customers do not have the time to do this and use this to their advantage. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand. There are many other quality products that I am positive will serve you better.

Easy to set up, but no security feature, 2006-08-30
Very easy to set up. Dual ethernet and USB connection provides flexibility. It is just a simple cable modem though, so it has no security features like firewall, website blocking, etc. I use my old router to provide better security. But if you are buying a cable modem for the first time, you might consider spending a little extra for a unit that has a built-in router.

Haven't had a problem... it's a cheap modem but it works... how can you complain?
A High Speed Modem for all occasions, 2006-08-23
What can I say. This isn't the first D-Link product that I've purchased, and probably won't be my last. But, since this is my first experience with there Cable Modem product... and, since I've only been using it for a few weeks now...I'll hold back giving it the 5 star treatment until I've used it a little bit longer. Yes, it's a solid performer (but it seems to take too much time establishing a connection to the Cable system and my Router if I have to re-initialize it. But, that hasn't happened very often. According to the literature the unit is comaptible with just about every current Cable company currently doing business in the USA (and probably Europe). And it fully supports DOCSIS 2.0 to boot! All I can say is that it works perfectly for me and my Cable system. And setup was a breeze right out of the box. One more note: The unit Has two separate MAC addresses for both it's built in USB and Ethernt ports. This means that you can connect two computers simultaneously to the unit without the need of a router. But, a router is preffered! Of course your cable company would also need to support this feature...but, it's nice to know that it's available in a pinch. That's it. Hope this review helped. PS> My Wireless high Speed connections using this Modem are very fast!
