Great Modem So Far, 2006-11-03
My 5 year old Motorolla finally died a couple of days ago, and I had to go buy a replacement. Since I have been running a D-Link router with good results, I decided to go with a D-Link modem. All I can say is why didn't I switch sooner? Granted, my old modem was heavily used and had become slow and unreliable at times, but this modem is lightning fast as compared to the Surfboard. I've only used it for one day, but so far it's very impressive. The best I could do withe Surfboard was a little over 1 megabit. I clocked the D-Link at 3.6 megbits yesterday. Let's hope it will hold up as long as the my old Motorolla did for 5 years.
Setup was a snap.
