The Beginning of a wonderful series., 2008-05-09
This is the first movie in a series of movies that are probably my favorite movies of all time.

I love clean romantic movies. But they are hard to find these days. This series was exactly what I was looking for. The characters a relatable, the plot was good, the scenery was beautiful, and there's a good clean romantic relationship in it. What more can you ask for? There are 5 more movies following this out at the moment. They are Love's Enduring Promise, Love's Long Journey, Love's Abiding Joy, Love's Unending Legacy, and Love's Unfolding Dream. I reccommend all of them. Iv'e met people of all ages who like them. They are definitely worth your time!

    It is a classic, 2008-05-05
While it is a little slow and deviates from the book, I found this to be VERY enjoyable. My wife & I LOVED this movie. It is predictable, but once in a while we need a great movie , great story evening that ends well. If you like Sarah Plain & Tall, or if you haven't read the books, YOU WILL LOVE THIS FLICK. Get it. It is wholesome, entertaining and has a message.

Clichés, clichés and more chlichés, 2008-05-03
I seem to be in the minority here, but I found this movie very overrated. The story is standard romance formula 1A, with some discussions about faith thrown in to please Christian viewers. It's extremely predictable and never feels authentic. The movie has nothing to offer that we haven't seen a hundred times before. I don't think I've seen a movie with so many clichés since "Blonde Ambition".

The acting is also weak, and having also seen "The Last Sin Eater", which also had very bad performances, even by talented actors, I'm starting to suspect Michael Landon doesn't know how to get good performances out of his cast.

Recommended only for die-hard fans of sappy made-for-TV dramas.
