would recomend this product to anyone who needs a modem router does a great job so far have never lost signal and it is a strong signal anywhere in the house the house is around 2000 square feet.

This is a nice little cable modem / wireless router. I didn't use the included software to set it up--just accessed it via a browser with the default IP address and password. No surprises, limitations or disappointments: it worked just as expected.

Great item!, 2008-02-22
I recently switched from DSL to Cable and asked the cable company to supply the modem. Since my DSL modem had a router installed for both wireless and wired use, I "assumed" that the Cable modem would as well. It did not and I would have had to pay monthly rent on it plus go out and buy a router.
I did some research and found that there was a combination product and order this. It works great and solves the issue of having two devices doing the job.
The installer that came from the cable company was impressed and said he couldn't understand why they didn't offer this item. It's been in about 6 weeks now and I have no issue at all with it.
I would recommend this to anyone having the same needs.

The Motorola SURFboard® Wireless Cable Modem Gateway (SBG900) worked just great for my needs. I've had it for 2 months and haven't had any problems with my wireless connection.

I have been extremely pleased with this modem. It is compact, easy to install, and efficient. It is very secure. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it. The price was very reasonable, I thought.
