 Complete disappointment ~, 2005-09-07
This product was suppose to solve the problem of retaining my cell phonebook. It turned to deliver more problems than solve them. I've spent the last 30 days trying to get resolution as to why this product does not work. Finally I am returning this product because it simply doesn't do what it says it will do. Don't recommend the purchase of this product! With as much time as I have spent trying to get this product to work I could have input all of my phone entries manually saving me time!

Garbage, 2005-08-16
I can't remember ever making a poorer purchase. Only one of the promised features works at all (the phonebook transfer), but that is both inconsistant (not every number transferred, some of them transfered in duplicate) and inconvenient (the "synch" makes the user do a lot of tasks that other programs like this automate).

This product does work, but after 6 months of updates, they expect you to purchase it again, check the Susteen web site on this. Also sent in comments on how they print directores and never heard anything back.

Overpriced junk software that is unreliable, 2005-05-26
First I bought the universal kit for a mind boggling $80, then had to pay $30 for the cable for my phone + $9 shipping handling (I'm supposed to get a $10 rebate, but I'm still waiting). After spending over $100 for this, I installed it, and appeared to have succefully installed the driver for my Audiovox 8910. When I load the DataPilot software and try to connect to COM3 (the Susteen cable), it does not recognize my device. After spending some much time with the ackward install process and having to pay extra for a cheap cable, I am returning this junk.

Very difficult to install! Very poor implementation!!, 2005-04-10
A very cool idea but not implemented well by this company.
Had to install the software twice. after the software installed, the program asked if I wanted to do "Updates." So I clicked "yes." Nothing happened. It turns out that one has to register the software before one qualifies for an update but there should be a registration form first before the update or even an error message.
After the first install w/updates, I connected the USB cable between the computer and my phone. The USB cable showed up as an "unknown device." [And I did not connect the cable until everything, including updates, was installed.] So I removed the entire installation, did a System Restore and re-installed the software. Then after second install, the program informed me that I had used up all 8 of my handset allowances--my husband and I just purchased 2 Motorola 551s, and I was moving MY cell phone book from my old v60 to the FIRST 551 [which is TWO phones by my count, since I hadn't connected the second 551 at all].
This package is not intuitive at all and does not work well or consistently. I have to agree with most of the other reviewers: it IS one of the worst software/hardware packages I've ever used.
I have been a programmer since 1979, have a degree in Computer Science and several certifications. It's not like I don't have some experience in software design and implementation.
If I don't get some satisfaction from Susteen, I will complain to Best Buy [where I got it] and my credit card company. For $80, it ought to work better than this.
