    Great!, 2007-01-15
My kids are enjoying learning with this game! They especially love competing with each other's scores in the games that come after each lesson, which means playing them over and over to outdo each other. I don't think that they realize just how much they are learning, they are having so much fun with it.

Overpriced and not related to Violin Players, 2007-01-03
I bought this for my violin beginner 11 year old on the strength that it had pictures of violin players on the box. I wanted her to get comfortable with reading music for violin. However none of the software is directed at violin players, but rather just to piano players.

Though my daughter is bright and very computer literate this software offered her very little in the way of an interesting learning tool. It may be advertized as good for teaching musical theory but it failed miserably to capture the attention of my daughter.

We have a lot of educational software (40+ including Edmark by IBM) ranging from Math, Spelling and Typing games and find this package very limited in functionality and consequently very overpriced!

    teaches even adults!, 2006-12-24
I am an adult that wants to learn how to read regular music notation and hear the difference between the beat and tempo. This program can do that. It is easy and fun for children from about 6 to 96 years of age! I am 49 and having a blast with it. I play several bluegrass instruments but have always used "TAB" to play the instruments. I recently started playing a new instrument whose usual music is written in standard notation. That is why I wanted to learn. But I found so many of the programs out there to be either beneath my level or really above it. I guess most teachers think someone my age should known something about standard written music. I do not have anyone close by and available on my limited time schedule to learn from, so that is why I choose to learn from software.

This program is fun for adults too. It is a quality in depth program that assumes you know nothing about music and takes you on a magic ride from the very beginning teaching the staff, the notes, notations and everything else. It has a game at the end of each of the chapters and believe me some of the games are hard to get correct-particualarly the ones dealing with starting on the beat.

For my money it can't be beat!

    good quality, 2006-03-10
quality software for kids. once the synchronization issue is
    resolved, the system works beautifully.
