confirm: NO SERIAL NUMBER, but reviewer's number worked when typed in, 2006-01-07 We also received a box without a serial number and were initially unable to install the program.
Unfortunately, the Tom Cruise fan's information on the location of the serial number was not helpful as our Typing Pal did not have such a number. Perhaps next time the writer will consider the rather obvious fact that it is unlikely that so many people would have independently been unable to find the number if it was actually there.
The number provided in the earlier reviews did not work when I copied it into the box, but it did work when I typed it in. Perhaps that played a role for the people for whom the serial number did not work. Our copy is now working fine. Personally, I preferred the Timon and Pumbaa program. Stay tuned for SpongeBob's program.

Huhh!, 2006-01-05 You people, you people, you people! I feel like Tom Cruise talking to that guy when he said, "You just don't get it." Who was that guy? Anywho, no the serial number is not written on the box, but guess what it's located on the cd case. Duhh!! That white strip with the black letters and numbers is the serial number. Yeah the thing ask for the serial number on the box but it's the number that's on the case.

Typing Pal, 2006-01-03 My 8 year old loves this new game. HOWEVER, thank God for previous reviewers and their specification of the serial code. My husband and daughter were going bonkers trying to find the serial code, and then something clicked in my head - that I remembered reading about the code in one of the reviews. That is where I found the code that we used. I think it is shameful on Amazon for distributing a product that has no serial code. Don't understand that. The product however does work great once you have that code.

No serial #, 2006-01-02 No serial number. That is awful. And no customer support. Thanks to the other customers who supplied me with a working serial #, but Amazon should not be selling this. The number I used was RTR5MB9NE7TFQRYZ.

No Serial Number in Box, 2005-12-28 Box came with no paperwork whatsoever. No serial number. The serial number is, of course, the thing you pay for. After all the reviews here that mention this problem, you might think that they'd fix it. But not yet.
Best of luck with your purchase. Caveat emptor.
