    Awsome new expansion!, 2003-03-13
I happen to be one of the beta testers and this is just awsome! Beware though, there are alot of new features that can be very abusive. Each race now has a very affordable shop where heros can buy items, each race also has a variety of new units and 1 new hero each. There are new maps, no new creeps yet. Orc may be one of the most powerful races for the fact that batriders have been given more power than they deserve and for the cheap price can easily win games. The game is 80-90% complete and you will see new heros hit taverns in the future, also many new fixes will come up soon due to many harrasment and rushing issues. Alot of the units have bern nerfed to hell but still a must buy for warcraft fans. Newcomers beware, don't get this game right after you have bought the original Warcraft 3 because it will be very confusing. Some features I thought were pretty cool were the Nightelf hero being able to change the time from night to day or vice versa. Like I said alot of things in this can be taken advantage of brutally but will most likely be reduced in the patches to come. A feature I didn't like however that might be changed is when you pick up tomes they read automatically adding to your hero's abilities. But all of the unbalanced features should be changed in the future so be prepared. Frozen Throne is here!

Rise Of Nations is WAY better. War3x Stinks, 2003-03-11
Okay I was a beta tester for this game and over the course of the beta i liked it a bit at FIRST. What an Unfortunate occurence that they took what could have been a great game in it's early stages and every single new patch that came out just kept ruining the game more and more. A new patch would come out and i'd have hopes they'd undo some of the lame changes they made and wouldn't you know it, they only made the changes worse.
I would say the only positive elements to this game were being able to "cue" your upgrades(hence the 1 star) and making the Undead a much better race. All in all your still limted to THREE races while a RTS called Rise of Nations has 18 RACES ! YES my friends 18 races to choose from all with thier own UNIQUE UNITS. Best of all your never limited to a specific build order and you have things like Attrition damage and National Boundaries. Things life Forts and Towers actually do damage and don't fall instantly to fire.

After playing some other games like Rise of Nations i realized that Blizzard is making this more for thier youngest CORE gamers and players and well them youngins can have it. I'd say it aimed more for the 12-18 range than anything else. So you Blizzard Fanboys can have your Frozen Throne i'll just keep playing Rise of Nations and have a blast.

Older more mature gamers who want a little more thought and a little less repetition should get Rise of Nations.

It's Blizzard. and as much as i hate them I did buy it just for the new World Editor, so i can UNDO Blizzard's changes and actually have a LITTLE fun with it. Guess i'll be stuck playing custom games.
That is not a sign of a great game. A sign of a great game is being able to play any style, multiplayer, against the AI, random people on battle.net or your friends. It's just not worth it to only be able to play custom games...

I'd like to mention this game got a 4 out of 5 rating while Rise of Nations got a 5 out of 5. Guess who got Real Time Strategy right ? NOT Blizzard ! I hope some from blizzard reads this review and maybe just maybe they'll take a look at Rise of Nations and figure out what to do right next time.

    After That Chaos, 2003-03-09
-I believe that Frozen Throne is going to have great rating on it. There many new feature that reign of chaos don't have. I think blizzard has gone too far with this serious type of game, it too nice (The Game).... The other good new is that you don't need reign of chaos to install frozen throne only if you like to play the orginal campaign. P.S: My Warcraft sn is Chinese. Chiggaz if you want to challenge me please whisper to me.

WoW its the the the EXPANSION!!!!!, 2003-03-09
    Yaaaaaaahhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

I am sooooo happy!!! I cant wait. Ok Ok. IF any one has played warcraft 3 this is a must buy. This game is the sequel to war3. War3 was an amazing game so there is no question that this will also be an amazing game. Also I recommend it because it is made by BLIZZARD any game made by them is a must buy. The game offers 2 more units per race and one more hero. It adds bunch of more upgrades as well as techniques. the game offers 5 more neutral heros some new buildingsfor each race and a tavern (new neutral building) which lets you buy neutral heros. There are a bunch of new items as well. The game has new water creeps and transports!!! This game will offer plenty of new strats. To make the game even more chalenging. sugest this game to anyone who loves Blizzard or any RTS game.
