    Wonderful Machine, 2009-06-29
I've been using the Eclipse 1100 HR/A Elliptical Trainer for about 3 weeks and love it. It was so simple to put together, easy to follow instructions, no problem. It's quite and easy to use. I'm still using the manual program but plan to start on the first programed plan next week. Four to five miles, about 25 minutes... most of the time, I'm using it every day, but do skip a day here and there. I highly recommend it. I'm using it on my deck right not and made a cover for it from a light weight tarp, designed it, cut it and sewed it up. Works great. I couldn't find a cover to buy. [...]. Lynda

    Good overall machine, 2009-06-21
This elliptical was super easy to put together and provides a good workout. The hardest part was getting it out of the box! It is lightweight, which is probably why I am only giving it 4 stars. It doesn't stay where I put it. The room I have it in has plush carpet. I put it on a fitness machine mat, but it moves when I use it. I may have to move it to the kitchen, where the floor is hard. It is easy to move around if you don't have to turn corners. You have to pull it by the handle up on the wheels on the front of the unit, which makes the handles stick out, so corners can be tricky. Also, when putting on the handle bars, use a 10mm socket. The tools it comes with don't work really well.

    The perfect spacesaver ellipitcal., 2009-06-13
Wanted an elliptical for my home but did not have too much space. Did my homework and tested many ellipticals at sporting good stores, but all of them were just too large to fit into my space and prices were beyond my budget. The Eclipse 1100 is a great deal. It is really a space saver and can fit into the smallest of apartments. Assembly was not too difficult and getting up a flight of steps was no problem. The workout is as good as ellipticals in gyms - the only difference, which may disappoint some, is the shorter stride which gives you less range of motion. Therefore it feels like it works your thighs a lot harder. Overall, its a great piece of equipment, and allows all of my family the opportunity to work out in the comfort of our own home on our own schedule. Again, great price for a great space saving elliptical that gives you a good workout.

    Two in a row broke - don't buy!, 2009-05-31
Neither of the two models I had lasted more than a year with occasional use. Eventually the motor goes, meaning you have little resistance. The "savings" on this lower cost model are not worth it, and I feel bad about putting two big machines in the landfill.

    Glad I purchased, 2009-05-25
A treadmill was always my exercise equipment of choice until I developed a problem with my ankle. The constant pounding on a treadmill was causing me a great deal of pain. I had heard that the elliptical trainer could produce a good workout without putting stress on my joints. This is the perfect elliptical trainer for me. First I live in a small apartment and the Eclipse 1100 does not take up a lot of space. I am only 5 feet tall so I don't get "swallowed" up using this elliptical compared to other models. A friend of mine helped me to put it together and it was easy to do. Everything was well marked. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does squeak a tad when using it. Other than that, very smooth operation. I am very happy with it and my ankle is doing much better. I probably get a better workout using the elliptical since it has 12 programs to use or just use the manual mode. Thanks...
