Operation Genesis is a great park building that rivals Zoo Tycoon. The game play is practaclly the same, but you are on a tropical island and have to create, feed, and display dinos. You also have to make sure your tourists are entertained. You can build burger stands, restrooms, and gift shops. Security is also a major importance. You can build ranger stations and machine gun turrents. (Please don't kill visitors) One of the downsides in the game is the weather. Sometimes thunderstorms and heatwaves hit your park, making visitors unhappy. And sometimes, you park is mauled by tornados. This destroys buildings, kills dinosaurs and visitors, and just is terrible to the player. :-( So, expect for a few bugs, Operation Genesis is a game that every dino nerd should have.

Possibly the best Jurassic Park Game, 2007-01-15
As the title says this is, in my opinion, the best game based on the Jurassic Park films.One of the reasons is that this time you're not escaping from a T-Rex,Spinosaurus or hiding from Raptors, it's your turn to control things.You choose which dinos inhabit the park,where they live, with whom they fight and much more.The only bad points I see are the keyboard controls, why are they there when it could be a lot better with the use of the mouse alone?
well, in all it's a good game which entertains almost everyone.

awesome game, needs some work, 2006-11-10
this is and awesome game. it would be five stars except for one thing: if you get good at it it gets boring. now i know this sounds general, but it's true. one way it's true is the fact that you only have so much space because you're on an island. because you only have so much room, you can only build so many objects. take feeders, for instance. you can only build eight feeders in your park. you also have a limited amount of species of animals you can create. in addition to that, you also have very little buildings you can build.
now that i've gotten past all the bad stuff, we can get to whats good about this game. the grafics are awesome, the idea of dinosaurs is cool, making money is generaly pretty easy,and you have mini games you can play.
i say this is a game worth buying. my suggestion to get past all the bad stuff is to not get stuck on one game. start lots of new games so when you're board with one game you can switch to another.
