    Screenwriter is a Win!, 2006-04-22
This product is a great one. Very helpful, easy to use. But I will warn you, the "read script" feature needs alot of work. Obviously the computerized inflexions miss the mark 99% of the time. I have also had some trouble saving my project files. Overall, the templates are helpful and have saved me alot of time. One pet peeve: I am a detail- oriented person, and the graphics in this program look like somthing from 1996--this irks me to no end. I don't understand why they spent so much time developing features and templates, and so little time on the actual program graphics and color pixilation.

Movie Magic Screenwriter reviewed at Microfilmmaker.com, 2006-03-18
"...The best thing about Movie Magic Screenwriter is that is seems to have something for everyone - from the beginner to the professional, everything is covered. And because it's not limited to screenwriting, there's such a wide variety of things that one can do - who knows, you may accidentally discover that you have a knack for writing video games!

If you have dreams of writing an Oscar-winning screenplay, or even being a TV writer, Movie Magic is definitely the way to go - the features are amazing, and it's not really all that expensive, considering what you get. But if you're not used to screenwriting software or are new to the whole screenwriting process, better download the free demo first and get acquainted with it before you shell out the big bucks.

But really, I don't blame any of you for drooling. I still am..." -Monica Deleeuw-Taylor, Microfilmmaker.com

I have been asking for this software, 2006-03-15
It would work well with the webcam I have, so it can write whatever I say on the screen. If I play music, the caption would be [song plays]

    Very easy to use...., 2006-01-06
As being the novice in screenwriting, I was originally going to use MSWord to try to format my script. However, after purchasing a couple of screenwriting reference books, I realized that formatting isn't an easy task. A writer would take more time trying to format the document rather than focusing on the creation of the script.

After thoroughly researching a variety of programs, I settled on this one. I find it easy to use. Everything is already set up for me...all I have to do is type. I also like the text to speech feature. All thought the voices sound robotic, I am still able to visualize if what I am writing makes any sense aloud. I am also able to catch little mistakes like if I forgot to type an "a" or a "the".

This program is also formatted for novels, tv scripts and stage plays. Therefore, at this price, I think it's a GREAT deal. However, if you are a student you can get the academic price of $90 from the Academic Superstore, but you must show proof of currently being enrolled in school. See http://www.academicsuperstore.com/eligibility.html for requirements of eligibility.

I am sure there are other programs that are just as user friendly or not, however I think the key thing as a writer is to just find a product that is going to WORK FOR YOU! That one program that you are going to feel most comfortable in creating your document. That is the most important element...find something that works for you as a writer and if at any time that product is no longer accommodating your needs then you have the choice to switch.
