Your cable is not going to assist you which cable modem is best. They come in , plug the appliance and bill. This appliance rocks!

Excellent, 2007-06-05
I purchased the Linksys BEFCMU10 EhterFast Cable Modem and WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router together. Received them this morning. Connecting and configuring went smoother than I have ever seen. Took about an hour, but most of that time was spent on the phone with my cable company to give them the new MAC adress of the modem. I have never seen my internet connection so fast. Setup was simple. Instructions were simple with graphics. I am totally pleased.

Good Modem., 2007-05-22
This is the first cable modem I have ever purchased, I used to just rent mine from the cable company. This is way better, it's way faster and way more stable then the old one's they gave us.
Linksys makes good products and it's definately work the buy.

As advertised, 2007-05-17
Cable modem operates as advertised. After Comcast took over Time Warner in my area, my internet connection was sporadic at best. I replaced the modem with this Linksys BEFCMU10, and my connectivity woes disapeared.

Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable Modem, 2007-05-16
It was very easy to set-up, I called my cable company (Comcast), give them the Model, Serial No.# and address. Took less than 5 minutes to set-up! Good to go!
