    what happened?, 2004-04-06
i got a subsription after not reading the mag for several years. its turned from fun and creative to mediocre and lifeless. It feels like this is being published out of someones basement. The articles are all a month behind Macworld and usually are based around the mags highest selling point, the demo cd. Then just for fun, theres articles on how to make your mouse blink or how to turn your mac on with the garage door opener.
The last 3 issues have been exactly the same, covering iLife and only get slightly more desriptive from the previous issue.
I used to love this magazine. Now its kinda just fallen into a steady groove.

    the best Mac magazine, 2003-10-24
It's the most popular magazine at Apple and its reviews are less biased than Macworld's. Macworld has sadly deteriorated into an advertising rag.

    Humerous and Informative Magazine, 2003-10-06
I ordered this magazine not knowing what to expect. When I got it I flipped through the pages and found MacAddict to be great. It hade very informative reviews and a how to section. It also was quite humorous. The shut down page is real funny. I found this magazine great!

    More entertaining than Macworld..., 2003-06-16
me thinks anyway... i always saw macworld as Apple's public relations magazine... it's informative, but they seem to do whatever Apple wants in so far as the information that they present... not necessarily skewed reviews, but they're not trying to ... Steve Jobs off either... MacAddict is a little more fun of a format... it's also very informative.... i try to never bother with the CD/DVD rom of shareware.... i'll find it over the net if its that important to me.

Excellent: fun, informative, and very economical, 2003-05-08
What a mag! I haven't read any of the other reviews, but i must offer my unqualified 5 Stars for this playful, interesting magazine.

From command line tips, to product reviews, to the silly stuff on the back page, this rag is a must have for any mac enthusiast. None of the other Mac magazines capture the apple-user spirit quite like this.

But dont let me confuse you, MacAddict is in no way frivoulus - droll, yes, but serious and quite insightful too.

My only qualm with the magazine is that it is monthly and not weekly. I usually read it - cover to cover - within the first 24 hours of delivery! maybe if it were a bit more drab i could make it last longer.
