Greatest Movie ever by Kyle Lenhardt, 2006-01-18
This anime ruled. I've watched it 30 times this month. Everytime it gets better and better. The shading on the characters, OMG, it's unbelievable. I'm planning on buying another one of these sets so I can watch 2 episodes at once on 2 tv's. The more of the DVD's I buy, the less I have to steal online and the less my dad complains about me hogging all the bandwidth. This isn't nearly as good as Pokemon though. I read online that if you read or write reviews about anime that there is a good chance you are a virgin or possibly gay. this is ground control to major tom

6,7,8,9,10 it deserves more stars than that even, 2005-12-26
I've watched this whole series at least 10 times, and trust me, it NEVER gets old. This is the best anime ever, more than Kenshin, Akira, Inuyasha, Wolf's Rain, etc. A great story and incredible script, it also has the most memorable characters in any anime. Here they are:

Vash-The hero, a bumbling pacifist with a $$60,000,000,000 price on his head that carries a huge gun. A pacifist with a gun, there's an oxymoran.

Marryl-The easily ticked off worker of the Bernaradelli Insurense Co. She and her asociate Milly were assigned to track Vash due to his path of death and destruction (yet he remains a pacifist, don't feel like explaining watch the serires).

Milly-The oblivious, possibly mentally challanged asociate of Merryl.

Wolfwood-Another oxymoran. He's a preist that befriends Vash and his friends, only has one problem, he seems to kill anyone that really bugs him.

Knives-Vash's evil twin brother with a desire to eliminate the human race, nuff said.

Legato-My favorate character. The incredibly dark and frightening henchman of Knives, I think he may be in love with him.

Get this series, it's worth every penny.

    Limited Collector's Edition - Part I... Recommended, 2005-12-12
(Note: This review is for the Limited Collector's Edition I (With Steel Case), not the Boxed set... For some reason the reviews are showing up in both places.)

This popular anime series just got better. In addition to the collector's tin containing the first 14 episodes remastered in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, this edition comes with a collectable copper bullet pendant with TRIGUN etched down the length of the shell. The pendant also comes in a small black velvet draw-string pouch.

    What's New on the Discs:
    - Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound in English and Japanese. The surround element alone makes this edition worth owning. The re-mastering was done very well. (For kicks, I turned on the Japanese audio with English subtitles. This is my own personal opinion, but I think the voice talent on the English version is one of the main reasons why this series has sold so well in the United States. The voices performed by the English-speaking actors not only seem to match the characters more closely, but the English-speaking actor's overall voice acting talents are demonstrably better.)
    - Original Japanese Opening Sequences. For the most part, it is the same as the English version with the exception that the credits are in Japanese. English subtitles are optional. However, starting with the third episode, the opening sequence is changed slightly to show brief clips from the current episode. These usually consist of a shot of Vash followed by a shot of the main adversary for the episode.
    - Original Japanese Trigun television spots. These are interesting to watch, however no translation is provided for them.
    - Trailers for other anime produced by Geneon.

    Also contains:
    - Credit-less versions of the opening and closing sequences. (Note: Only the opening sequence from the first episode is available in the credit-less form).
    - Concept Drawings of characters, weapons & vehicles.
    - Interactive Menus. This is the only real bit of disappointment I had with the collector's edition because the same menu is used for all the discs. In the previous editions from Geneon, each disc featured a different menu that creatively highlighted a different theme from the series with music and custom animations.

    Overall:
If you are looking to purchase Trigun on DVD for the first time, this is the edition to own. If you already own the original Trigun editions from Geneon and are a big fan with a Dolby 5.1 home theater system, this is a very worthy upgrade.

Guns and Funny Character what more can you ask, 2005-12-09
What can I say? A perfect anime, it starts as an action/comedy serie, and later on the series gets more emotional. And the story starts to get really intresing. With Vash not killing people, lot's of weird and funny things happen.

But then again, it's a serie you either love, or you don't. 'cause Vash can get kinda annoying and that can ruin the fun of an anime serie for you

    Big News,, 2005-10-22
I really really like Trigun, but I have to deliver some very big news to all the Trigun fans out there. They are making a Trigun movie, it's in production as we speak and is expected to be released in a couple of years. It's true, Anime Insider said so, and so did Masao Murayama, studio Madhouse's founder.
