    technology, technology, technology, 2002-04-07
I first got this magazine because i am really into computers, but after a few issues i was amazed with the deep articles about all different types of technology. All the articles are deeply thought and very well researched and they hit the topics form all different angles giving you the entire scoop on what it means to you the consumer and how it could or will affect your life.
If you enjoy technology or are interested in all different forms of technology this is a "must read" magazine

    Great articles, 2002-04-04
Great, unique articles...from tech to engineering, always something for a good read and not the same things everyone else is writing about.

    AWESOME, 2002-03-15
This is an awesome read. Great topics, great writing. Wired is always a couple of months ahead of the game. Watching the topics that are covered in prime time TV, I often wonder if they take their cues, and get their inspiration from the social issues covered here. Wired also offers great insight into technology and the businesses that surround it, profiles design trends, and occasionally covers cutting edge sports too! I loved their recent article on kite-surfing.

    Still a great magazine, 2002-03-03
My favorite magazine is probably still Wired magazine.

I have been a subscriber almost continuously from around 1994 or so.

Despite a history of excessive advertising and embarrassing flag waving about the glory of the internet economy Wired has consistently informed and entertained me with quality articles about the things that I enjoy: internet, software, business, technology, politics, travel, etc.

It has also been a major innovator in terms of the visual style of magazines. Their style was as new and different at its introduction as was MTV when it first appeared in the 80s.

The articles are largely targeted to 20 - 40 year old upper-middle-class, liberal technology industry oriented people, although I doubt there is anything in its content that conservatives or non-tech people would find offensive.

My issue goes straight into the toiletside magazine rack every month when it arrives.

Best magazine on the digital world, 2002-02-28
I bought my first copy of Wired from the newsstand in 1997 and I have been a subscriber ever since. Not every issue is great and the change in style over the last few years has been up and down. Still, the vast majority of the time I find myself devoting 2-3 hours after its arrival in the mail to reading it from cover to cover. The articles cover every aspect of technology and society. Features on the Microsoft trial, the Open Source movement, and biotech are what anyone would expect in a tech magazine. What sets Wired apart are stories on roller coasters, ship bone yards and autism. When I was stationed in Korea for a year it was not practical for me to transfer all my magazine subscriptions. Of the two I transferred, Wired was at the top of the list. If I could only subscribe to one magazine, it would be Wired.
