Top Notch, 2002-10-15 Electronic Gaming Monthly, in my opinion, is the BEST gaming mag on the market. It includes intresting reviews, previews, and news about certain subjects such as a highly anticipated game or system. All of the articles are very well written and fun to read. The magazine itself is very organized and well setup. Normally it gets exclusive information that the other gaming mags don't get. All of the editors have intresting and humorous personalites. It'd be great to meet them some day... The bottom line is that this magazine is TOP NOTCH and I reccomend it for anyone who is slightly intrested or obsessed with gaming. I hope that EGM last for ever, so that I can enjoy it forever...EGM IS ON CNN EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT!
EGM rocks, 2002-10-07 You know whats really dissapointing about this magazine? it only comes once a month. I strongly recommend this magazine, if your a console gamer, you should get this mag. it covers all systems and titles. a must have mag.

The best gaming mag., 2002-09-04 EGM has all a gaming magazine needs. it's reliable and it's not like that Xbox magazine where they lie about everything. The reviews are kind of tough(they review mostly everything bad) The previews are great, it has good screen shots, they aren't THAT biased(they're SORT of biased toward PS2) but this magazine is probably the best one o get.

The BEST Video Game Magazine Out There. Period!, 2002-09-01 I've been reading Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) for 11 years now and I maintain that it is the best video game magazine out there by far. The articles are well written and sometimes funny. The reviews cut down to the chase and they give you the real scoop-EGM maintains it's policy of not being influenced by multi-millioin dollar video game companies and all the media hype when reviewing its games. I could go on and on about how it's great but how does it compare to other video game magazines? Gamepro does a decent job as a video game magazine but it's articles in general are not as comprehensive as EGM's articles. Gamepro severly lacks the creative articles that EGM has (ex. Top 100 Games of All Time, the inside info. on how bad games come into the market). As for the game reviews, Gamepro is often too simplistic and at times too generous in rating qualities of games. Although you pay more for EGM's subscription ($19.97/yr.)than GamePro's subscription($14.97/yr.), the quality of magazine you get is MUCH greater. Many of the other game magazines out in the market are concentrate on specific system (ex. PSM-Playstation 2)making it seem like those magazines are more in depth (and possibly better) than EGM on a system to system basis. Note the saying that "quality over quantity" is in effect here. The coverage that EGM offers in each issue is comprehensive enough to rival that of magazines dedicated to one and only one system; The forty pages EGM might devote to PS2 games competes well with the 150 so pages a dedicated Playstation magazine offers. I'm not rich and when purchasing video games I want to make sure that every video game I purchase is well worth every cent that I use. This also applies to the video game magazine that helps me make these video game purchase decisions. If you're like me and want the most out of your money, look no farther than EGM.
informative, 2002-08-29 if you want to know the latest news about the consones and the games in all major consoles, this is the magazine for you. it incudes everything you need to know, and it comes with a monthly supplement poster of a game that is about to be released or has already beed released, which is an added bonus.
