It is doubtful that anyone knows every facet of this immense program. Just understand that between Photoshop and it's imbedded ImageReady, you can do almost any image manipulation. If you're a Web developer or layout specialist, this is your program.

 Shop for no Other..., 2001-11-29
Exceptional in every way, Photoshop is THE image editing software to own. With each new upgrade, Photoshop becomes more user friendly and intuitive. The new effects, especially Liquefy, practically border on animation (I'm still trying to figure that one out). Of course, with the previous upgrade of 5.5, you can also prepare your images for the web; so it's a one-stop shop for all your image editing needs.
The only thing I recommend is that once you purchase Photoshop 6.0, be sure to go to Adobe's website (...) and download the patch for version 6.0.1. This will allow Photoshop to save clipping paths that QuarkXpress can read. It's a MAJOR oversight on Adobe's part to leave that out, but it can obviously be remedied rather quickly.

Yes this product is as brilliant as everyone says. I use it at work every day and would love to buy a copy for my home PC.But, come on Adobe!! You can buy a car for the same price as this.

I love it., 2001-11-14
Even though I am only a hobbyist and not a professional, I have been an avid Photoshop enthusiast for the past several months. I am using Photoshop 6 for arts and crafts at home for now, but eventually I would like to become an inspiring graphic artist, photo editor or something like that. Even though I'm proficient and have good knowledge of Photoshop, there is still a lot for me to learn especially using curves and color management. Photoshop has a deep learning curve. But if one can make the time and effort to learn, you will become very proficient. The possibilities of doing things in Photoshop are endless.

The #1 and always has been!!!!!, 2001-11-02
Hi there!
Before haveing version 6 of PhotoShop I used to have version 4, it was ok and all but it just couldn't compete well against Macromedia Fireworks 4, I also have fireworks 4 before it simply is the best but once I got version 6 of PhotoShop i changed my mind. PhotoShop's new UI rulez, PhotoShop's new features rule and last but not least PhotoShop's improved web enhancement tools have been greatly improved! ********** 10 stars!!!
