Works Great after proper configuration, 2008-03-16
Works Great after proper configuration. Had a problem on Vista. I couldn't get to the internet, to Linksys set up page. Set it up on my XP, no problem. Had to learn how to clone the IP address. Also, tcp/ip settings had to be set to auto-obtain IP address.

    POOR Customer Service, 2008-03-06
Linksys products have been degrading in quality over some time. This product is no exception. I have had to RMA several of these items over the last year. Linksys support is outsourced, meaning poor communication. Also, the support department is no longer about providing support, but will instead try to throw roadblocks in your path to keep you from replacing your defective product. Expect several calls and at least a week to replace a defective product through Linksys if you have never had to run their gauntlet before.

    BEST FOR WIRED, 2008-02-27
THIS ROUTER WAS EASY AS PIE TO INSTALL.DRIVER CD,INSTRUCTIONS,THE WHOLE NINE YARDS ALL WELL WITHIN THE LOW PRICE AND A SUPER GREAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT TO ANY HOME OR OFFICE NETWORK.GREAT QUALITY.RECOMMEND 100%!

Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, 2008-02-22
I bought this product without reading the other reviews -- big mistake. The setup wasn't too bad once I found out that I had to configure my modem to be compatible, which couldn't be done without a password that was a deep dark secret. Finally got that from my ISP and things seemed to be going well. But my enthusiasm was shortlived. I lose my connection about every two hours. Linksys's so-called tech support was no help whatsoever. My ISP did walk me through the procedure to get it up and running again, but who wants to do that over and over. I have ordered a combination modem/router from my ISP (they have excellent support) and plan to throw the Linksys router off the nearest high building.

QoS is primitive, no alternative firmware, 2008-01-20
Even though the text on the box says that this router supports QoS, the support is primitive and doesn't support a range of ports, just single ports. You can't upgrade the firmware with DD-WRT or the like.
