    H:C47 Is A Hit!!!, 2001-09-08
Ever wondered how it is like to be a hitman, especially genetically programmed and optimized to kill? It is a one-of-a-kind experience for PC. This game is unlike others, but if you like the concept of stealth, deception, and undercover, you'd love this game.

It is tough to be an assassin like the character you play as in this title, that is why the gameplay is difficult and frustrating, that is why I would recommend to buy the strategy guide and stay focused on the mission, because there is a minimum of shooting in most of the levels, maximum of THINKING and paying attention on all the clues, as well as learning your environment, enemies and other obstacles. If you follow those basic guidlines you will more than enjoy playing hitman, it will quickly become one of your favorites.
Pros: brilliant graphics, variety of levels and level types, wide variety of equipment, enemies, and objectives; nice storyline, lots of realism, and interactivity.

Cons: some bugs in big missions, one of the levels is screwy and is just plain sick, minigun is not so got in hands of a hitman (because he becomes any easy target as he can only walk with it), visibility sucks in jungle missions, very complicated for some gamers

Conclusion: Hitman is a unique game, with numerous but minor flaws. It is a masterpiece with its own special style, vast environments, and some humor. A game that showcases the life of a hitman and does it realistically.
This is not the end of hitman...

    I love it!!!, 2001-09-07
A fantastic graphic, alot of weapons, nice and realistic shadows
and many, many more... Ok, it's a realy hard game (say my friends) but I like these hardfull games.

    Good game, 2001-08-15
I thought this game was a pretty neat game. When i installed it, i noticed that you gotta have a pretty top of the line computer (lucky for me). Something i didn't like about the game is that you can't save the game. The missions are just too long and complicated to not be able to save in the middle of the game. (unless of course, you have a walkthrough,..but still its frusterating)

But other than that, this was an exellent game, with outstanding graphics and a wide range of weapons like the fibre wire and the knifes, not to mention a tasty mini gun. And another thing i liked about this game is that when you kill somebody, you can take there cloths, there guns, anything they got on them.(which is very neccesarry to beat the misions, some people you can't take there cloths, but if you can't take there cloths, you probably weren't ment to).i had a fun time with this game.. Two thumps up!

    Great Fun, 2001-08-09
Hitman is a fun game packed with a ton of weapons, baddies and confusing missions. It starts you off in a facilty were you begin training with the arsenal of weapons provided for you. A year later the party begins.

The pros for me were the graphics and the large selection of guns and knives. The option of wearing the baddies outfit was a pretty great feature too.

Cons, the way the missions were to be carried out was stupid. Story line was flat and the several bugs in the game got annoying. Another was repeating the same mission over and over from start because there is no save feature. And one that always got me was how certain missions left you stranded.

All in all it was an okay game that found its spot on the shelf along with many of the other games i have. This is a probably the only game I lost interest in after the first day.

    Original, but flawed, 2001-08-05
The concept of a game in which the protagonist is a professional killer hired to assassinate targets is, to my knowledge a new idea. The missions which followed this concept were very fun. However, there are only a few missions like that. Many other missions are far too long for a game without a save feature. Many missions are just stupid such as the ones in the jungle, and when you have to deactivate a nuclear weapon (why does EVERY game have you defusing a nuke nowadays.) I would have given this game 5 stars if all the missions were assassinations.

The excellent physics engine and graphics were very impressive. The AI was pretty good as well. The plot of the game was poor at best.

One thing to be aware of is that you need a high end computer to run this game without major bugs. I originally installed it on a 500 mhz system, where it frequently crashed. However, when I put it on my 1 Ghz it ran smoothly and without errors.
