Linksys 5-Port Switch, 2008-09-05 I already had one of these behind a Netgear router and recently added a second to accommodate some gaming systems and a new PC. The older switch is over a year old and has held up wonderfully with moves, a few drops on the floor, and signal drops from the cable modem in front of everything. No issues, great product and I would definitely recommend, all at a great low price too!
Perfect little switch, 2008-08-18 I replaced an old hub on my home network with this. I was getting an lot of "collisions" and slow performance. This unit cleared that up. Can't beat the price!
additional info for international buyers, 2008-08-06 Just adding that the Linksys EZXS55W 5 port switch purchased on july/2008 came with a class "A" switching power supply for any voltage 100-240 at 50 or 60 hz ie. "world voltage" ,, this is almost never listed in the specs but for me this was a prime consideration..

BEWARE!!!!! Power adaptor stops working l-o-n-g before the switch gives out., 2008-07-21 The product works fine....5 stars on the workgroup switch.
BUT the power adapter stopped working today in the middle of a meeting....zero stars on the power adapter!
I contacted LinkSys and after 1.5 hours on the phone, and 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE later, I finally got a CustSvc person who could actually help me. (Their TechSupport group is absolutely useless! The TS rep kept asking me what I meant by the *power adapter is dead*. I felt like I was in the Monty Python "Dead Parrot" routine...are you KIDDING me?!)
We requested a power supply plug to be sent out, only to find out that they only have version 1 power cords available. There are no power adapter cords available for model EZXS55W, version 2 or 3. Mine's a ver3. (ver 2 & 3 powercords are on backorder with none expected in receiving anytime soon).
So I'm sitting here with a $20 paperweight. (gritting teeth and snarling...)
Linksys is still pretty good!, 2008-07-09 Installation was a snap! I wanted to connect a couple of things to the internet in my living room, so I bought this switch. Plugged in my DVR receiver, a PS3, and and IPTV STB all to it. No set-up or configuring at all. Just plugged in and boom, instant internet to everything.
