    A Truly Great Man, 2008-05-01
Ron Paul is the only principled politician in Washington. He proves with this book that he is also a deeply intelligent man who does not just talk a good game prior to an election. Dr. Paul's book, his dispassionate understanding of American history and the socialist Federal Reserve system, together with his rock solid voting record show that he the only real "public servant" in DC. Present and former congressmen should atone for prostituting themselves at the expense of the Constitution and publicly proclaim that Dr. Paul's book represents the truth and the light by which we can get ourselves out of the mess they have created.

    I like it, 2008-05-01
Ron Paul explains his political philosophy in this concise, well-written book. He relates his philosophy to current events, with some commentary on the 2007/2008 presidential race. Paul backs up his positions with frequent citations of great thinkers of the ages, such as the Founders of the United States. He makes the case for a return to following the U.S. Constitution as it is written, and abandoning the bankrupt notion of the Constitution as a living document. This book is a great introduction to Paul's politics, and an antidote to the sound-bite, identity politics and constrained debate that American mass media seems to prefer. This is no self-agrandizing political cheese written by a ghostwriter. This is "Common Sense" for the 21st century.

Probably the 129th person willing to deem this the 21st century's Common Sense, 2008-05-01
As a very proud and lucky member of Texas' 14th Congressional District, I have had the honor of being one of Dr. Paul's constituents and neighbors. I feel that everything which I could spell out in words about this work has already been said a thousand times, so I will simply say that there is a reason this revolutionary statesman has served ten terms in our Congressional office. I can't begin to stress the importance that every American at least examines Dr. Paul's advice, as I truly believe (along with many other reviewers) that his most recent book is comparable to Thomas Paine's legendary Common Sense. His teachings truly have kickstarted a very powerful and very real revolution in political thought. I can only hope his advice will take root in our political process long before my generation makes it to office and forces its long-delayed conception. Do your nation a favor--read these passages carefully and take them to heart. Revolutions are not made; they simply come.

    Excellent book, 2008-05-01
Reading this book is akin to somebody teaching you common sense. Yet when I was done reading it, I was kicking myself for not having any common sense before for any other election. Before Ron Paul and his fans began converting the internet, I used to be a partisan hack. I would only vote with the approval of a letter in parenthesis after the candidate's name. I was so caught up in the smaller issues like gun control, abortion, etc... that I would completely be ignorant of the bigger picture. I thought Republicans and Democrats were completely different. Since I have been enlightened by this complete revival of true conservatism brought by the R3volution, it almost made me feel as if I had been falling in the same trap every four years; voting for the small issues in the elections and if a (D) or an (R) will be my choice. I would accept deficiencies as a result on 'voting for the lesser of evils'. How ignorant was I? This is America. We vote for what we want, we don't vote for the two choices they give us (that in reality are the same meat just seasoned differently)

This revolution is nothing radical, we just want to give the power back to the people. Let the people hold the leash of the government.

    Simply Magnificent, 2008-05-01
I didn't really know what the ideals of a Libertarian were until I heard Dr. Paul speak in the first debate.
Since then, I have become a hard core fan of liberty and freedoms and this book only helps me refine my positions.

This will be the one book that I look back on 10 or 20 years down the road and recognize as being a catalyst to my political world view.
